[Discover] Find public Playlists that contain Song/Artist

My theory (not rocket science):

If someone else's playlist includes a song or artists that I like, there is a good change that I will enjoy the rest of their playlist.

Currently, you can only search for public playlists via playlist name.  Considering that most people do not name their playlists to accurately reflect the type of music it contains, I believe that the current search functionality is quite limited.

Spotify should have functionality to search for public playlists that contain a song/artist.  I think would be immensly helpful for music discovery.

Best of luck,

Ryan

P.S. - Down the line, it would be interesting to see "similarity scores" between two playlists.  Could be quite interesting for finding new music.

Hey folks.

Thanks again for all your votes and comments.
We're still keeping an eye on this idea, but at this time we don't have an update.

just sharing this here to spread awareness of feedback and the redirection. maybe if it gets enough "likes" they will make a change - but also probably not

That’s it, I’m quitting my premium subscription and switching back to apple music, which I shouldn’t have left in the first place.

It’s not just over this; in general spotify’s product management folks seem to be totally divorced from voice of the customer; the most basic functionality requirements are not just unmet: years go by, consistent user feedback, nothing. Sorry but this is not good enough guys. You need to work harder for your salt.

I am thinking to do the same, subscription also got a bit expensive. I have just exported my list over to Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube Music in preparation for an exit.

Hey everyone, since Spotify have made no real improvement on this issue, I've decided to create a Spotify Playlist/Album/Track/Artist search engine

It allows you to search for tracks inside of playlists and albums. Something Spotify doesn't do. Once you found a playlist you like click the "Import to MOODplaylist" under the search result you can watch the music video(s) from the playlist. WITH. NO. ADS.

Hey everyone, I've had quite a few DM's about my search engine. So I decided to roll it out on a separate website called https://playlistsearchr.com its basically an ad-free Spotify music search engine. BUT it also allows you to discover playlist across Spotify, Apple, YouTube, Amazon and listen 100% Ad-free and in the background (with your screen off).

I have included a few screenshots below of how to use it, its pretty simply though:

Search for Playlists/Artists/Albums/Songs across Spotify, Apple, Amazon & YouTubeSearch for Playlists/Artists/Albums/Songs across Spotify, Apple, Amazon & YouTubeEasily Preview a Playlist (before importing it)Easily Preview a Playlist (before importing it)Import the Playlist and Listen Ad-free & in the backgroundImport the Playlist and Listen Ad-free & in the background

Its insane how long Spotify is ignoring this important suggestion.

If they would care just a tiny bit about user experience, they should have come up with this by themselves anyways.
