Do not limit Audiobook listening

I'm not an expert on the economics of audiobooks, but the reason that Spotify is great is that you get access to all of the music in the catalog and you can enjoy it as much as you like for a flat monthly fee.

Spotify has introduced all sorts of insane new problems by limiting the amount of time listened.  These are just a few examples:

- Do the hours count for multiple people on family/duo accounts?

- How to deal with getting cut off in the middle of a book?

Instead, make Audiobook consumption unlimited JUST like is done for podcasts and music, etc.

If you need to raise the price of the membership then do so.  If you need to make an "audiobook" add-on subscription then do so.

Do NOT limit the number of hours audiobooks or any other kind of media can be consumed.  It's a terrible user experience and is a complete about-face to the model Spotify used to become the dominant music streaming service.

I drive a truck and work 14 hours a day, not including an hour or two getting ready and winding down. I can LITERALLY blow through all 15 allotted audiobook hours in one day.

my duo account is $17/mo. 15 extra hours ontop of that is $12. Assume I work 24 days in a month. 17+(12x23) =$293/mo for tax.

Can we please have an unlimited account for like…. $40/month.

In The Netherlands we only get 12 hours “free” with our subscription. I picked an audiobook that is 12 hours and 3 minutes and it cut me off 16 minutes before the end (last chapter plus end credits) even though this is the only audiobook I have listened to this subscription-month. It is likely because I have needed to go back a couple of seconds more than once because I didn’t catch or understand what they were saying. This is the second time this happened, last time with a book that was well below 12 hours, so it must count those minutes I have had to go back towards hours listened, which does not seem fair.

At this point I would rather have one credit to listen to one complete audiobook, as there are barely any audiobooks below 12 hours and I do not want to wait more than a week for the reset to listen to 15 minutes, and will definitely not pay the hefty fee for extra hours.

Honestly, pay for subscription, can't even finish a decent book. Gotta wait a whole month to get the remaining content OR pay more than your subscription costs. Just ridiculous. Increase listening hours so we can at least listen to a whole book per month.

There are some months where I am in the car quite often, traveling for work, and really enjoy listening to audiobooks. There have been a handful of instances where I have ran out of listening hours and have to either purchase more or find another source to listen to the book.

Alternatively, there are some months where I barely utilize my audiobook listening hours. It would be so nice if on the less heavily used months, the unused hours could be rolled over to the next month.

This is still relevant! Audiobook+ isn't enough! 35h of listening isn't even half a month for me. I mean, if I put on a timer and miss 0,5h of listening do to the fact that I fell asleep, that's 15h lost listening a month!

IF Audiobook+ had no limit, I would gladly pay! But as it is now.. no way I'm making that purchase. I would even be playing for Audiobook+ if it was 50% more expensive than today, IF it had no time limit!

Audiobook+ as it is today isn't enough.

I suggest a "Audiobook Infinity ️" subscription. Charge 50% more than Audiobook+ and remove the the listening limit.

I mean, if I turn on timer every night and lose 0,5h a night do too the fact that I fell asleep. That's 15h a month alone! So to catch up, i need 30 hours of listening! Witch mean that I can only make a 20 hours progress of a book with backtrack included. Unacceptable to pay for!

Please reconsider the time limit on Audiobook+
