Don't customize my shuffle based off my "favorites"

After listening to my Liked playlist for a few months I came to realize even on shuffle, it will play the same 30-50 songs although I have 300+ different liked songs. Please let shuffle actually be random again. I don't have time to make custom Playlists but feel forced to because your shuffle is not random. I don't wanna hear the same songs 3+ times a day everyday for months. This also skews the results for spotify wrapped. Never has it been truly accurate I'm assuming for this reason.

There is a solution, remove double ups and turn off repeat. This will then play each song only once and when you run out... something is wrong with you for running out but spotify will step in with 'recommended songs'

Personally I prune my 'liked songs' between 800-1000 songs giving them new homes or seeing what I no longer vibe with and bring it down to 500.

Remember to clear your cache. Mine was like 13 GB and it sorta worked for a little bit. Now my spotify is thinking I like some bizarre/old phase things, 🫤

Agree 100%. I have the same issue, despite clearing my cache, playing with settings, repeat is OFF, and I even reinstalled the app. No luck. I keep hearing the same grouping of songs over and over. Shuffle hasn't felt random since the days of having under 100 liked songs.

Agree. I have 14,800+ songs in my liked songs playlist and I still hear the same 30 - 40 songs way more often than I should.

I actually really like a very watered down this feature, where it plays favorites more frequently... maybe it could be a setting.

This is totally a problem! I personally think there should be a slider that determines the amount of how much of your favourites will show up compared to how much of your other songs. Some people like their favs to be played over and over again.

Of course, you don't want your old phase songs from five centuries ago, so we should be able to control how much Spotify will overplay/underplay your songs.

Agreed this has bothered me for a while that there's no true random shuffle! I wish there was an option just like w the smart shuffle. Maybe have the smart shuffle as an option, the current favored shuffle & a regular old actual shuffle. Or like others have said a slider on how random or favored you want it to be. It gets annoying having the same stuff always popping up when my library is huge.

This is a nightmare. It’s the only reason I like the like button disappearing or becoming pick a playlist and then add it button.
