Filter Paid and Unpaid Content in New Episodes Feed

I follow several podcasts that have free episodes and paid content for subscribers. After the last update, my New Episodes feed is filled with paid content that I cannot acces and do not want to subscribe to. 

I also have no way to remove this content from new episodes.

Please create a workaround which allows users to either:

1. Filter between paid and unpaid content.

2. Remove paid content from our New Episodes feed.

I can’t believe we have to come here to vote for user friendly functionality for a paid service. 

Is there anyone at all at the helm here? Spotify has become such a disappointing service. Can’t wait until someone does this better.

I literally just created a Spotify Community account just so I could upvote and comment on this one feature. It's extremely frustrating to have my short feed filled up with paid content. Please remove them or at least let us hide the episode so it doesn't clog up my feed (please and thank you)! I now have these episodes permanently stuck in my "My Episodes" also because I can't do anything with them. I can't even "mark as played" with these bonus episodes. This is enough to make me want to switch to a different platform for podcasts if it doesn't get changed.

I HATE having these locked bonus episodes in my New Episodes feed, with no way to remove them. Like others have stated, it messes with my mind having these episodes here, and find that it becomes tricky to easily locate the episodes that I actually want/am able to listen to. This needs to be rectified soon or I will be looking for a new podcast app.

Hello Spotify team,

I’m a Spotify Premium user (Android & Desktop) and listen to many podcasts. In the “New Episodes” section, I’m frequently seeing bonus episodes (🔒 “For subscribers only”) that require an extra paid subscription per podcast.

These bonus episodes cannot be played, hidden, or marked as completed like regular episodes. This clutters my “New Episodes” feed and is confusing for many users.

My request:

Please add a feature to allow users to:

hide bonus episodes from the “New Episodes” list,

mark them as completed,

or optionally not display them if they haven’t purchased the podcast-specific subscription.

This would greatly improve the user experience. Thank you!

Bummer. 10 years of premium, they changed the game. Now it's a marketplace, a mix of stuff I can listen to and then EVERY podcast now wants a premium sub so I can listen 1 wk early. Such a drag browsing Spotify for an ep now.

I dont even know what competing services there are. Didn't need pay any attention because Spotify did it best. Sucks now. I hate having to shop for services.

It’s frustrating that bonus episodes I can’t listen to are now showing up in the Unplayed list.

I use the “Unplayed” + “Oldest” sort to continue podcasts in order, but now it’s cluttered with locked bonus content I didn’t subscribe to and can’t access.

Please add a way to hide bonus episodes from the list. I just want to easily find the next playable episode without sorting through stuff I can’t even listen to.

I'm logged in and am not able to vote but am 100% in favour of this request. Spotify has become a VERY unpleasant experience -  feeding me paid podcasts I can't listen to. I DON"T WANT TO SEE THEM, WHY AM I PAYING A SUBSCRIPTION TO BROWSE A LIST OF STUFF I CAN"T LISTEN TO??!! Honestly I might look for alternatives because it is INFURIATING.

We need this. It's obnoxious and makes it impossible to find free episodes that haven't been played, and junks up the whole feed in general.
