Increase size of Lock screen/pull down media player buttons

The buttons on the media player are just way too small for basic accessibility. It needs to be atleast 3x bigger.

Please increase the icon size (and improve the media player layout).

The Android version is far overdue for an update.

Hey @AmsterSam,

Thanks for posting on the Community!

The layout and design of the widget can vary depending on the device and OS. It's still worth having a look the device settings, to see if you can change the current text/widget size. To do this, open your device's Settings >
Scroll down > select Accessibility.

That being said, accessibility has always been a top priority here at Spotify & we appreciate you taking the time to reach out and share your thoughts on this with us! We've made the right team aware of this, to look into things further backstage.

We're just a post away and more than happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Take care!

Issue:
The Spotify lock screen UI on Android devices (specifically Pixel 7 Pro, but likely affecting others) has play, pause, and next buttons that are too small and poorly placed. “Mis-taps” often trigger the phone’s unlock prompt, which removes the Spotify controls entirely, forcing users to look at their phone while driving.

Why it matters:
This is not just a usability issue — it is a serious safety hazard. Drivers relying on the lock screen to control music are distracted, increasing the risk of car crashes and fatalities.

Proposed solution:
Increase the size of lock screen media controls on Android devices and optimize the layout so they can be used safely without needing to unlock the phone.

Goal:
Ensure the Android lock screen UI matches modern usability standards and prevents dangerous distractions while driving.
