Lyrics support for Apple TV app

Lyrics have been a great addition to Spotify apps across several of my devices, but on the latest Spotify app for my Apple TV 4K, the feature doesn’t seem to be available. Roku and Xbox already appear to have support, so it would be great to have this feature on Apple’s streaming platform as well.

Spotify your app for mobile is years ahead of the rest. 
Please make sure your other apps are too!

 I avoid using the app on Apple TV because the lyrics are missing!

 Let’s go Spotify team! Please release this!

I am having the same problem where my spotify app on apple tv no longer displays lyrics, and can find no way to turn it on. I have explicit content enabled and deleted and re-downloaded the app.

I turned explicit on and off, and still no luck. Deleted and re-installed the app again. I have a premium membership and live in Canada, I will be trying a vpn next once I can figure it out. This issue is so disappointing because the spotify membership price has already gone up so much, and it gets harder and harder to rationalize when you're on a tight budget. I rely on the lyric feature as I am hard of hearing, and it being a feature of spotify was so helpful to me and part of why I got the premium membership. I hope spotify starts listening to its customers, particularly when its a matter of accessibility.

It’s WILD that this feature hasn’t had any progress, much less communication as promised, in 3 YEARS. WOW.

I moved to Apple Music and encourage others to join. Because Apple Music has more support and cooler features than Spotify and their old dusty app.

 

Not only absence of lyrics but the old app will make Spotify users to move to other better platform that cares about users. 

 

By the way Apple Music has more lyrics to songs. Spotify just says: "You caught us, we still working on getting lyrics" LOL what a shame!

I'm certain at this point they have notification filters for "apple tv" and just ignore those. There's no way in 2025, I have to use bluetooth to stream music from my phone because the de facto standard music streaming app can't be bothered to port features (not even implement, PORT)

Please add lyrics to the AppleTV app.

its been more than 3 years since they said they were gonna take the idea to the team. There isnt any sign of lyrics being added to the AppleTV app yet 😞
All other tv apps, the lg, samsung, etc already have lyrics enabled and better sound quality, why just dont add the same for AppleTV users?
