Mark / Disable AI Generated Songs

The platform is increasingly flooded with AI-generated songs (especially the Release Radar), making it harder for users to discover authentic, human-created music. To improve the listening experience, Spotify should introduce a clear label for AI-generated songs and provide an option to filter them out entirely.

@Dalberon A human doesn't replicate it at the cellular level, whether or not they are conscious of it their own style always sneaks in. But if say a human did make a perfect replica of an artists work or completely cloned their style claiming it as their own and making a profit, they would most likely be (and have been time and time again) sued into oblivion. Just look at the history of copyright claims against songs just having slightly similar riffs of lyrical patterns for that.

The fact of the matter is, not too long ago the police would smash down a grandmother's door because their grandkid downloaded the new snoop dawg album off Limewire. 1 track, or perhaps 1 album generated such a violent response from the authorities. Now you have these multinational AI companies doing it en masse over billions of stolen tracks to create their little **bleep** spawn, then every script kiddy goes and provides a little prompt, and it spits out something resembling music, making a profit from the stolen data at every step of the process. And the response... meh it's not hurting anyone... **bleep**... it's flooding the market with uninspired garbage and reducing the monetization available for real artists, within a few short years real artists will go the way of the dodo, and all that will remain will be pale imitations.

Theft is theft, profiting from theft is a crime, AI music is the result of criminal syndicates in action, period.

The use of stolen goods to create new goods is still a crime. If you melt down stolen Nazi gold and remint it, does it not still have the blood of 6 million+ dead souls on it?

Real music by real musicians only! Don’t just mark the AI - allow us to bypass it completely if we want to

AS many other said, the proposed improvements from Spotify are quite weak and do not solve what we are asking.

It's a shame that you allow AI slop farms to flood your platform with such content.

Add the filter to remove songs made with AI!

I want to listen real music only

When I wrote inspiration I ment all new music is somewhat inspired with what was made before. And then the artist added their own thoughts in their music that´s not theft. That is in my opinion development it could be good or bad depending on the result.

AI will kill music

AI will kill literature

AI will kill art

And then it will kill us

@AxMn You don't understand how the modern AI does what it does. The only way it could exactly replicate the style of a single artist is to only train it on that artist. If you check the works that are truly trying to imitate a human artist (Teddy Swims is heavily covered in AI so easy to find) you will easily know it isn't Teddy Swims because the AI cannot do what you are describing. It was one of these Teddy Swims fakes that clued me into the massive amount of AI music coming through. I was very excited to see a collaboration between Teddy Swims and Ariana Grande and listening to it I was like "wth is wrong with them?" which lead me down this rabbit hole.

Theft is theft. And I hope the companies have to pay through the nose for training on material they stole. But the rest of your argument is emotional and illogical. Like Nazi gold for instance. That gold is in circulation still and the vast majority has no history associated with it. Most who own it were not told the story of how the Nazi's stole it a century ago. It is just gold.  I would imagine everything in this world was stolen from a victim at some point in history. In fact music is a great example of companies pocketing most of the money while the musician scrimps by. That theft we are talking about of the training material will likely be paid into company coffers, not artists pockets.

Spotify, please introduce a toggle that allows us to remove all AI-generated content from music recommendations and search.

I'm so tired of this barrage of AI-"artists", to the point that I'm considering to just drop Spotify altogether. When my Release Radar gets infected with garbage AI and other scams where someone has hijacked a popular band as a feature, or even releases music as another artist, and I can barely even report it!

Let us enjoy music again, please!

I would like to have the option to decline the showing of AI created content on my profile. Along with the clear and proper labeling of AI created content in the artist description.  I do not support or care for AI created content and when I have to do research to a band I like just to find out it is AI, it can be a bummer. I believe the person paying for the profile should truly have a right to filter what he/her wants to find in there feed. Give us the control to choose our artists to this new degree.

Not only are my lists getting filled with AI generated music, but they are also being attributed to artists that clearer are not them: Look at what showed up on my list, then the same song but attributed to someone else on Sonauto.  You need to handle this!
