Mark / Disable AI Generated Songs

The platform is increasingly flooded with AI-generated songs (especially the Release Radar), making it harder for users to discover authentic, human-created music. To improve the listening experience, Spotify should introduce a clear label for AI-generated songs and provide an option to filter them out entirely.

Hey folks!

We're seeing your feedback and, in this regard, we'd like to share some more info on the matter 🙂

Spotify is introducing clearer AI disclosures in the song credits, as well as stricter impersonation rules!
These updates will help protect artists’ identities, ensure royalties are distributed fairly, and give you - the listeners - more transparency.

Note that AI disclosures do not affect how the music is treated for recommendations.
For more info in regard to these new introductions, see the Newsroom article here.

That's all for now, folks! Stay tuned for possible updates in the future.

I want the ability to completely opt out of and hide generative ai related content. I don’t want any of it.

can’t figure out how to upvote this, but I also want this option very strongly. AI is trash, and we don’t want it.

The fact that not only all of this year's wrapped was ai generated but now over half of the stuff covering my main page is also ai generated is beyond disappointing. Having a way to completely opt should be a basic feature.

I shouldn't even have to opt out, people should have to opt in

EdgyDESTROYER80

Most people dont want anything to do with AI so it just makes sense that spotify would allow you to cancel all use of Ai in the app.

YES! PLEASE!

Just ban**bleep** that makes my ears bleed every. **bleep**ing. time.

It's not music, not even art. It's just effortless **bleep**.

I'm getting really sick of this. I have to block four AI "artists" on average from every Discover Weekly. The longer Spotify continues to ignore this problem the more tempted I am to cancel my subscription.

Surely between YouTube, Apple and Amazon music, at least one of Spotify's competitors doesn't allow AI generated slop on their platform or has a toggle to hide it.

I can't really add much that hasn't already been said.
Secretly slipping A.I. into their own promoted playlists and discovery playlists is so sleezy. Music is so accessible to make in this day and age that there's no shortage of human and indie artists to listen to, but instead we're served the regurgitated sounds of tech trained on their stolen work. It's down right insulting and makes me feel sick and hopeless. Every day I get closer to canceling my Spotify subscription. The least Spotify can do is try to be transparent and give us a way to make choices for ourselves and can see what their users think and want.
I pay for this stupid unnecessary service, yet that money goes to button-pressers stealing content instead of more real artists.

Also, there's unofficial automated services that do silly little things given your Spotify library and stats and then for example make fun of you for listening to an incredibly niche artist with "20 monthly listeners" or something - I wish some indie coder would get on making a version that scans your library for A.I. or potentially A.I. stuff so you'd be warned and have an idea of how much fake stuff you'd been listening to, could get rid of songs, block the "artist", etc. Just get an idea of how prevalent it is and where it showed up in your history the most.

Also voicing how needed this is. If a discover weekly is now going to consist of this trash, then I want a way to remove it entirely.

Its bad content, and shouldnt be endorsed. I want artists I follows new releases, not this crud.

cibo_bioelectric

I do not want  AI generated content in my Release Radar or other suggested playlists and I'd like to have a global setting to hide such content. Original art creators should be appreciated and get some kind of recompense for their work instead of being anonymously exploited

Every week my release radar gets filled with more and more AI artists and music

Previous weeks have had 5/6/8 instances

This week's release radar has a minimum of 17 AI songs out of the 30 in the playlist, which is simply ridiculous

I used to look forward to the release radar every week so I could see what some of my favorite bands were up to and check out their new music, plus sometimes a new album would come up that you didn't know was coming

Now with the state of the release radar each week, might as well not bother looking at it anymore.

Please give us an option to completely block an AI garbage from our spotify
