[Mobile][Other] Remove or manage “Your top podcasts” from mobile home screen

On the mobile app Home screen, “Your top podcasts” isn’t reflecting my most frequently used podcasts. It contains podcasts that I haven’t listened to recently, and yet it omits at least one of the podcasts to which I have listened recently.

How is Spotify defining “Top” podcasts?

Regardless of this definition, I want to manage which podcasts are displayed on my home screen.

Several users have provided feedback on this — and in particular, some users have unwittingly shared explicit podcasts with young children or family members. These people cannot dismiss/forget these podcasts from their home screen. Inappropriate and embarrassing.

Allow Spotify users to manage which podcasts appear on “Your top podcasts.”

Hey folks,

We appreciate you coming to the Community, and adding your votes and comments to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement.
If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Thanks

Hello!! Bombarding a subscriber with content the subscriber has told you the subscriber finds offensive or that the subscriber has told you he or she does not like is not a good way to sell content. I do not want to open my Spotify account to select music for my morning drive and see the grinning face of Joe Rogan.  I have no problem if others do.  Just allow me to opt out.  Small request from a paying subscriber it seems to me.

The idea of being able to remove a podcast from your home screen view, seems so logical I'm amazed it's not implemented.

Instead I see all this bs I have no interest in as soon as I open the app (some things I listened to once, then realised I have no interest).

Seriously Spotify.. it seems like a fairly basic feature, especially for a paid service.

This "idea" has been requested since 2019 and still no fix? Shame on you Spotify. Stop forcing podcasts on people and give us control over what we don't want to listen to.

**bleep** this greedy corporation

I find it unacceptable and lazy that Spotify is uninterested in fixing this issue, especially for users that pay for Spotify Premium.

I've decided to NEVER listen to podcasts with Spotify and use Apple Podcasts instead. It has a superior interface for navigating and sorting podcasts.

(it's almost like Spotify is colluding with certain podcasts to promote listens.)

Extremely Disappointed!!!

It’s frustrating when I’m looking for a podcasts I recently listened to, but can’t find it because other podcasts I’ve tried and not liked are stuck in my podcast tab/homepage. This feature should allow users to remove podcasts from that page/recents. The feature could be used by holding down the podcast or swiping to have it removed.
