Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

Please get rid of Smart Shuffle - I don't care what you think I'd like to listen to. I know what I want to listen to.

I detest Smart Shuffle, I never asked for it and never want it on.  I make my own playlists with specific tracks in it, or listen to playlists with a specific theme, and Spotify thinks butting in with it's own suggestions is a good idea, I absolutely don't want it on ever.  I know it's reasonably easy to turn it off but having it set as the DEFAULT setting when hitting shuffle is ridiculous, if you insist on not letting us disable it make it double click to switch it on instead of making it the default.  I also suspect that Spotify is using the feature to drive traffic to certain artists which I find sinister.

Smart shuffle should be an opt-in option. Otherwise, you make a playlist for nothing, and usually, I get bizarre recommendations that are very likely matched just by zone/country and not what I actually listen to. Anyway, there's no reason to create a playlist with songs I like if I would get some random songs in between. 

Making it an opt-in function would be better, if some people like it then use it, not force everyone to use it

I don't usually care enough to vote on comments on features, but this smart shuffle is ridiculous. Either give us another option to toggle or remove it from the "normal" shuffle button. I just realized that my songs weren't shuffling because you've decided to force me to listen to songs not on my playlist. What's the point of having a shuffle option on a playlist we created if you're going to be like another radio station and put songs we don't care about?

Literally the dumbest idea to make you have to press smart shuffle and then it takes seconds to even respond so I think I didn't Hit it so I hit It again and then it goes back to no shuffle so I have to wait again for no reason. Whoever thought of this should be fired immediately
