Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

There is something fundamentally illogical about the need for this thread: Personal Playlists, are, by definition and practical experience, PERSONAL. There is no world where randomly adding songs to a person's 'personal' playlist is a +. Further, for more than a year and nearly 5,000 posts, a common theme exits—at a bare minimum - place this feature, somewhere else, so people who may want it, can go find it, and everyone else, who curates their own PERSONAL playlists, can continue to enjoy them, unmolested by Spotify alogos. This shouldn't even need to be said or written. I'm dumbfounded by Spotity Mods, PMs and Execs.

I **bleep**ing hate Spotify. I wish I didn’t have 30 playlists and used Apple Music instead, **bleep**, tidal was better than**bleep**. You dumbasses implement changes and force us to use them, EVEN WHEN 90% OF USERS WANT AN OPTION TO DISABLE THIS DUMBASS FEATURE. How many months/years has this been going on for? You can’t make a **bleep**ing simple fix for years? **bleep** this feature and **bleep** Spotify for being stupid cunts.

I want the option to disable it permanently, because it ruins my listening experience. I'm tired of AI being shoved down my throat-- it doesn't do a good job at anything, much less picking out MY music.

The thing is, we're NOT ALWAYS in the mood to discover new songs. Most days, we just want to listen to our playlist peacefully. We know you want to innovate; that's why you created Smart Shuffle. But it's more a nuisance than something useful.

Remove Smart Shuffle please.

I don’t want smart shuffle… at all. Especially automatic opt in… You have to hit it twice to turn the AI off and I forget or am in the car or something. It’s a “feature” that was forced upon me that I never asked for. It’s annoying AF and I pay money for the service.
