[Mobile] [Other] Smart Shuffle toggle setting in settings menu

Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

I don’t want smart shuffle… at all. Especially automatic opt in… You have to hit it twice to turn the AI off and I forget or am in the car or something. It’s a “feature” that was forced upon me that I never asked for. It’s annoying AF and I pay money for the service.

It's been over a year of us asking for this feature to be come and I grow disappointed and hopeless with each update that we will be rid of the single most annoying feature that Spotify has ever added.

I'm surprised that however much money Spotify gets for shoving unwanted songs down our throats is worth customer dissatisfaction this feature causes.

I like the auto-play or discovery when the current playlist/album/ep/whatever finishes.

For years I've not really bothered with my own playlists in favour of public ones or just searching the music I want to listen to. Just a day or two since going and trying to create more playlists.

But default "smart shuffle" adding random songs into a playlist I've EXPLICITLY created and curated is insanely idiotic. Only surpassed by not being able to disable such a silly 'feature'

What the **bleep** are CS and UX thinking!? Were they even in the room when such a stupid decision was made?

What's the point in even having playlists if you're just going to arbitrarily override what the user wants and is trying to do! Why not simply replace the functionality of the "play" button with a 10 hour looping sound of goats screaming? Seeing as that's the philosophy Spotify is ascribing to.

But don't worry!! You can simply bypass the screaming goats by pressing the "play" button a few times... At that point. What you wanted to listen to will actually start playing.

Smart shuffle isn't even that bad itself, like it's a good idea... Until they made it so that it's the first option when I click on the shuffle button. Like I click the shuffle button and I want it to shuffle not add songs Im not in the mood for. Also when I put it on normal shuffle and play my music it automatically turns back on art shuffle. Like **bleep**, respectfully, go away!
