Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

Hi there... Why do we need to vote on this? The feature is slow to toggle thru and unnecessary. If you want to give us a useful feature, you can add track numbers. Thanks

I don't think there should be a problem with this. After all, when I normally listen to a playlist in normal shuffle mode, the same playlist NEVER switches to smart shuffle mode. It will always play like a normal shuffle for me. Until I switch it myself. This is a novelty that I don't mind at all. I'm more worried about when I get a + instead of a heart or a new home page.

This doesn't even make sense. Original comment is clearly stating that it's a problem when they go to switch the shuffle button. Your response is "Well I don't tap my shuffle button."

 its fine if its possible to disable this function. Sometimes when i switch it takes about 10 seconds for it to load until i can press it again to turn in it normal listening mode. So it just made using the app slower, and didnt improve anything at all

Having the same issue. I would reshuffle the time making my queue. Updated my app and all I get is the smart shuffle. Can’t even turn shuffle off at all anymore, it just switches between normal and smart. Definitely weighing canceling my plan.

I like to shuffle my playlists a few times so I get a different mix, since Spotify tends to shuffle in the same 10 songs up front. The smart shuffle button has made it so much harder to reshuffle because I have to wait for smart shuffle to turn on and off. Please give us the option to disable it, or move the option somewhere else so I can continue to reshuffle my music.

An option to completely disable the newish smart shuffle feature in settings. Like completely remove it, so that the shuffle button doesn't need to be tapped twice or you have to wait for the smart shuffle to load/reload (or nearly softlocks the app, when in bad internet)

The "enhanced playlist" feature has done nothing but annoy me since it was released. The feature itself is almost entirely superfluous when there was already a custom radio function. 

I would like the he option to turn the feature off completely because i make my playlists because i want to listen to the songs i added to them. If i wanted suggestions i would use the radio function or seek one of countless curated playlists that spotify already provides. The "enhanced playlist" feature has been nothing but an annoyance, that dilutes already existing features and obstructs normal use of my playlists

100% agree. It just adds an extra, annoying, unnecessary step between me and playing my songs in order. The fact that it takes 2-3 seconds to even load before it will let me turn it off is especially infuriating.
