[Mobile] Remove current Song from Playlist

Hi

This is a usability improvement for the Mobile devices. Sometimes I want to remove songs from a playlist. This is currently quite a long task to perform on the mobile device.

1. I first have to select the right playlist.
2. Then I have to locate the song, which is not listed alphabetically. They are listed in the order I built the playlist with the oldest first and newest last.Some of my playlists have up to 900 songs in them and scrolling slowly can be difficult and timeconsuming.
3. Then click on the "pencil" icon and  delete the track I don't want.

I think it would be a better user experience if we could delete songs as easy as it is to add them to a playlist. 

So here's a suggestion for the mobile app, look there's even a space for it on the info page!

I have been contacted by user eviljojo22 who has developed a Plugin that creates a playlist named "Remove from Spotify" and every 45 minutes minutes it deletes every song in it and also in every playlist in which that same song appears (which may not be what you want). However, this is an option that may help you before Spotify gets round to providing this very simple function. Good luck (and Thank you EvilJojo22)

They delivered! This feature now exists. Click the three dots while playing a track and select the option "Remove from this Playlist"

Here's my workaround for what it's worth. On the "Now Playing" screen, I click on the three vertical dots and select "Add to Playlist." I then add to a previously created playlist called "Delete." Then I can go back to my desktop when it's convenient. It gives me a way to remember the songs I want to remove from my original list.

It's obvious Spotify doesn't really care about this. Apple Music is biting at their heels so maybe they should become more customer oriented.

The fact that Spotify hasn't responded to this feature in over 3 years is the main reason I'm switching to Apple Music, where one can do this in two taps.

Was this ever resolved? This is absolutely a pain in the butt to deal with, and actually more of a design flaw than a request for improvement. I often add a whole album to my running playlist and then while running I figure out that I don't like a song or it's too slow. I need a way to quickly remove it from my playlist and it needs to be easy. It should work exactly As described, right in the ... play menu.

Also, I think "Remove from Playlist" might be a better wording than 'delete track'

Here is what I got from Support today. Yep, the "maybe someday this will make it to the app" doesn't sound very promising...

For now, that's the only way that we can remove songs from a playlist.

This feature is necessary especially when I'm playing on shuffle mode. Please add this feature to mobile!
