[Mobile] Remove current Song from Playlist

Hi

This is a usability improvement for the Mobile devices. Sometimes I want to remove songs from a playlist. This is currently quite a long task to perform on the mobile device.

1. I first have to select the right playlist.
2. Then I have to locate the song, which is not listed alphabetically. They are listed in the order I built the playlist with the oldest first and newest last.Some of my playlists have up to 900 songs in them and scrolling slowly can be difficult and timeconsuming.
3. Then click on the "pencil" icon and  delete the track I don't want.

I think it would be a better user experience if we could delete songs as easy as it is to add them to a playlist. 

So here's a suggestion for the mobile app, look there's even a space for it on the info page!

I have been contacted by user eviljojo22 who has developed a Plugin that creates a playlist named "Remove from Spotify" and every 45 minutes minutes it deletes every song in it and also in every playlist in which that same song appears (which may not be what you want). However, this is an option that may help you before Spotify gets round to providing this very simple function. Good luck (and Thank you EvilJojo22)

They delivered! This feature now exists. Click the three dots while playing a track and select the option "Remove from this Playlist"

Need an option on mobile app to remove music from a playlist by tapping the ... 3 dots as you're listening to it instead of having to search for it. It's hard to find a song in a 10000 song list. I have to keep building more Playlists because I keep filling them up. If I could delete the songs or albums or artists within that playlist while it is playing would be very helpful.

that sounds really cool, nice workaround, I tried that also, but without Plugin it of course deleted the songs only in the “Remove” Playlist and not else where

Hey @Hansholz we're back to give this idea an update. As you know our Now Playing screen has updated quite a bit since you shared this idea. Now you can click on the three dots on the Now Playing screen and then select Remove to take it out of Your Music. However the ability to remove it from a specific playlist isn't something we plan on building at the moment.

Certainly a reason to switch to a competitor. 

The insane thing is, the desktop version has this feature, where it it the least needed. 

Playlist management sucks so badly on Spotify iOS.

A long time ago i had 1 playlist called "starred" it worked great and i was satisfied. Then they fixed things that weren't broken.. Now they let us know they won't fix the things that are broken. Spotify thanks for being good to your customers😍! (Paying customer sinds 2010, but maybe not for long anymore🤗 not that they care😂)

But... why NOT do this?  How is giving us the freedom to delete music from any thing but a great idea?

How does removing from music and NOT from the playlist help any of your
users? As you may realize many of us have unwieldy playlists since
removing from music doesn't remove from the current playlist. This is the
single greatest reason I am considering moving to a competitor and I would
think the value of this feature and for your product owner would be very
high. Please help us understand the reasoning.
