[Mobile] Remove current Song from Playlist

Hi

This is a usability improvement for the Mobile devices. Sometimes I want to remove songs from a playlist. This is currently quite a long task to perform on the mobile device.

1. I first have to select the right playlist.
2. Then I have to locate the song, which is not listed alphabetically. They are listed in the order I built the playlist with the oldest first and newest last.Some of my playlists have up to 900 songs in them and scrolling slowly can be difficult and timeconsuming.
3. Then click on the "pencil" icon and  delete the track I don't want.

I think it would be a better user experience if we could delete songs as easy as it is to add them to a playlist. 

So here's a suggestion for the mobile app, look there's even a space for it on the info page!

I have been contacted by user eviljojo22 who has developed a Plugin that creates a playlist named "Remove from Spotify" and every 45 minutes minutes it deletes every song in it and also in every playlist in which that same song appears (which may not be what you want). However, this is an option that may help you before Spotify gets round to providing this very simple function. Good luck (and Thank you EvilJojo22)

They delivered! This feature now exists. Click the three dots while playing a track and select the option "Remove from this Playlist"

I think I understand why this request is being ignored.

Could it be that Spotify's contracts with the music industry is somehow based on including a song in a playlist and not for the number of times a song is played?

I'm no longer standing by and waiting for them to implement this ... I'm going to start deleting my unwanted songs from my playlists tonight. I doubt it will serve to prioritise this  requirement. But it might get their attention.

I TOTALLY agree! This is a feature that is laughably absent in a music service that is lauded for its awesome playlists. Please, Spotify, add this feature ASAP!! The only "solution" I've managed to come up with, in the interim, was to create a separate playlist to add the tracks I'd like to remove from my current playlist. That way I can easily keep track of them, and just use that list as a reference guide to remove them later when I have more time. Hope this helps others out until Spotify formally addresses this issue.

I'm surprised that this is still an issue. I've basically been doing the same thing as Macatron then when I'm on my computer, deleting from the playlist.

PLEASE add this!!!!!  So often I'm in the situation on my mobile and I want to remove a song I'm no longer into (or categorized incorrectly) from a playlist in a few taps!  Don't make us go all the way into playlist edit mode!!!  There's already a ton of choices in the menu for a currently playing song (and add to playlist is one).  Just add remove from playlist!!!

I was stunned that every option of a track in a playlist is ther except "remove". I am often wanting to refine my playlists on the go and to remove a track that is annoying me is what I expect to see in the options menu more than any other. This is would be commonsense user experience.

I made a similar suggestion for this improvement just recently. Somebody noted that this suggestion has already been made. I was totally shocked to find out that the suggestion was made 2 years ago. I seriously question why Spotify has not made this change. I really think that this change is absolutely necessary. Spotify, please listen!!

It is really disheartening to see this request is 2+ years old, would be extremely easy to add, is fundamental to managing a playlist, and yet is being ignored.  I interact with spotify almost exclusively from my phone, and should not be expected to remember which songs to remove from a playlist that I heard hours ago the next time I'm at my desktop.  I don't care how many ideas have more kudos/points - this is Playlist Management 101 and should be taken more seriously by Spotify.  

For the rest of us - here is a kludgy work around that might make this slightly less painful.  Create a playlist called *deleteme* (or similar) and add songs to it as you hear a song that you want removed from a playlist.  Then the next time you are at your desktop, you'll be reminded of songs that need to be removed.

another +1 for this - no way to remove from playlist, only to add. I only use the iPhone app and don't use any other apps. need a way to remove from starred now that the star/unstar option has been deleted. my starred playlist now contains 1200 tracks and wanted to trim it down but can't anymore 😞

It has taken me hours to get nowhere.  Thank God I decided to look up this chat room.  Spotify are only giving half an ap if they make it so difficult to clear queued tracks.  Stupid

I am tired of having to add the song playing to a "Delete From X Playlist" playlist while I am listening to my songs on mobile, and then having to delete them when I get home.  Please fixt this.  It should be simple to remove a song from a playlist, while it is playing, on mobile.  Just add a subtract or thumbs down symbol.
