[Mobile] Remove current Song from Playlist

This is a usability improvement for the Mobile devices. Sometimes I want to remove songs from a playlist. This is currently quite a long task to perform on the mobile device.

1. I first have to select the right playlist.
2. Then I have to locate the song, which is not listed alphabetically. They are listed in the order I built the playlist with the oldest first and newest last.Some of my playlists have up to 900 songs in them and scrolling slowly can be difficult and timeconsuming.
3. Then click on the "pencil" icon and  delete the track I don't want.

I think it would be a better user experience if we could delete songs as easy as it is to add them to a playlist. 

So here's a suggestion for the mobile app, look there's even a space for it on the info page!

I have been contacted by user eviljojo22 who has developed a Plugin that creates a playlist named "Remove from Spotify" and every 45 minutes minutes it deletes every song in it and also in every playlist in which that same song appears (which may not be what you want). However, this is an option that may help you before Spotify gets round to providing this very simple function. Good luck (and Thank you EvilJojo22)

They delivered! This feature now exists. Click the three dots while playing a track and select the option "Remove from this Playlist"

I need this to maintain my playlists!

They have grown large and removing specific songs has become such a chore that I don't bother anymore. I often add songs in bulk from artists or genres I generally like, then find some I don't want to listen to anymore and by that time my playlist has overgrown. 

There is no point in having playlists if you cannot maintain them! Playlists are _very_ important to me. Being able to conveniently _remove_ songs is just as important as being able to add. Imagine, in order to add a song you would have to:

- Browse a 10 page list.

- Find a song you want to add.

- Scroll back up and select some "Add Song" feature.

- Scroll back down through the list, find the song again.

- Click "Add" on the single song.

NO ONE would want to build playlists like that, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't make us go through this for pruning playlists, either. I repeat: being able to _prune_ playlists is just as important as being able to build them. We need:

- Remove current song.

- Bulk remove with selection.

- Delete from context menu.

The edit and delete buttons are terrible, because they scroll out of sight. You have to scroll all the way to the top just to click those buttons again.

Consider deleting songs by dragging them out of the playlist and jumping to the current song by double tapping the cover art of the currently playing song icon.

this idea was posted in 2012, it's been 2 years since but deleting songs from playlists on mobile are still a pain. what are the developers doing? I am so sick and tired of accidentally adding a song to the wrong playlist and having to scroll down 800+ songs just to delete that one song. developers please fix this!

I can't believe it's two years after the date of this post and this is STILL an issue.  I'm just running into the issue now because I had to start listening to music on my phone instead of on my work computer and had to download the app.  IT IS SO FRUSTRATING TO HAVE TO DO IT THIS WAY.

To be able to easily Delete Song "now Playing" from playlist on Mobile Device (while your at it, why not also provide a choice to also remove it -- or not -- from My Music in one fell swoop? )

 CONSPIRACY THEORY?

I'm new to Spotify, and I love Spotify, but this is such a patently useful and obviously needed feature that the conspiracy theorist in me says there must be some absolutely perverse business reason for Spotify not to implement it.  The thing is, though, a good conspiracy needs a good theory, and I can't come up with any ANY conceivable dastardly motive why this feature is not available!  I still love Spotify.

Spotify is the BEST music service available.  But this one item is the MOST frustrating thing I can think of.  So simple!  Like a lot of others, I load full albums into a general playlist and shuffle them.  When a song comes on that I don't like I want to be able to remove it.  Simple!  I would rate Spotify as an EXCELLENT service but for this one simple issue.

Is it possible the developer responsible for this isn't working with spotify anymore? This seems so easy to implement. just add 'remove song from playlist' to the (...) menu off the now playing screen.

I'm on trial premium. The lack of this feature and the shuffle issue already make me lean towards not continuing the trial.

The thing about Star is an option that I will avail myself of until Spotify adds a delite button. Thanks for the tip.
