[Mobile] Remove current Song from Playlist

Hi

This is a usability improvement for the Mobile devices. Sometimes I want to remove songs from a playlist. This is currently quite a long task to perform on the mobile device.

1. I first have to select the right playlist.
2. Then I have to locate the song, which is not listed alphabetically. They are listed in the order I built the playlist with the oldest first and newest last.Some of my playlists have up to 900 songs in them and scrolling slowly can be difficult and timeconsuming.
3. Then click on the "pencil" icon and  delete the track I don't want.

I think it would be a better user experience if we could delete songs as easy as it is to add them to a playlist. 

So here's a suggestion for the mobile app, look there's even a space for it on the info page!

I have been contacted by user eviljojo22 who has developed a Plugin that creates a playlist named "Remove from Spotify" and every 45 minutes minutes it deletes every song in it and also in every playlist in which that same song appears (which may not be what you want). However, this is an option that may help you before Spotify gets round to providing this very simple function. Good luck (and Thank you EvilJojo22)

They delivered! This feature now exists. Click the three dots while playing a track and select the option "Remove from this Playlist"

If the song is currently playing, on Android, on the Now Playing screen, you can tap the name of the playlist at the top of the screen, and you'll get taken to the playlist, and it'll scroll down to the song that is currently playing, and select it.

On iOS, this doesn't happen. All they need to do is make it work the same way on iOS.

Spotify's weakness is keeping all their apps on all their various platforms in sync.

It's the weakness of most companies, when their employees have to work together and stay in sync. Different people work on each app, I'm sure.

I was just about to give this suggestion. It's time consuming when I'm trying to polish my favorites playlist and remove an old song to need to get in edit mode and scroll trying to quickly find the song I'm listening to that's highlighted in green text. I appreciate the green text but it's still a hunt when I wish the playing now window had an effortless way to remove it. It was a great suggestion from someone else and I wanted to add my agreement on that feature.  Would greatly benefit mobile experience as that's how I enjoy spotify 90% of the time.

Honestly ridiculous how difficult it is to get Spotify to add this simple, much asked for feature. User friendliness down the toilet. What does a paying customer have to do to get a delete button? Are we asking for a miracle here? Come on!

This doesn't work when it come to playing Spotify on a mobile device.

This "remove from your music" option does not help when it's a song or album you have not added to Your Music, but have added to a Playlist. For instance, I have a HUGE playlist of Christmas music. I don't want those songs in my Music because when Christmas is over I don't want to have to go through and delete them all individually, for heaven's sake. There are hundreds of songs in this playlist and I would like to be able to delete on the fly. I am VERY disappointed to read that you have no intention of FIXING THIS.

Hi @Kulmandu,
I added an option for you, you can now choose if you want to remove from the playlists and / or from your Library. So if you want to only deleted songs from your library and not touch your playlists:

- go to https://spotify-playlist.eivo.fr/
- connect with Spotify
- uncheck "Remove tracks from your playlists"
- check "Remove tracks from your Library / Songs"
- click on "Update your settings"

Well in my case, if I can’t delete a song from a playlist I’m currently listening to without having to locate it first through hundreds of other songs, which seems like a basic function to manage a playlist, I’m leaving Spotify for another provider. I suspect though that there is a strategic interest for Spotify to make it so easy to add music and so difficult to erase it individually, I can’t imagine any other reason to block such a super basic function.
