[Mobile] View & Shuffle all Tracks in Playlist Folders

The latest spotify for android update, as well as the newest iOS update, removed the "shuffle all" option for multiple playlists within a folder. I used this feature every day and it's my favorite spotify feature. Please bring it back!

but perhaps you should be considering who is using the feature?  I'd guess the people that used the 'shuffle in playlist folder' function were those that are most deeply engaged with spotify.  It might well be less-used, but you might find that it's your most loyal customers & advocates who used it.. precisely the sort of customer that you want to keep happy.

**bleep**. This feature takes little to no pain to re-implement, unless your mobile apps are architected very poorly. It is currently still working on the desktop apps. Guys. I see that you're working on an alternative, that alternative isn't here yet. Put the shuffle all playlists in a folder feature back untill the new stuff shows up. You're upsetting core users.

Well, this is somewhat removed now for Desktop too, isnt it? At least for two-level folders (folders who cointain folders who contain playlists). Whats the status on this? Why now change desktop to this too?

How other music apps works?
What is the spotify app version which still have this feature?
I got a new phone and install latest spotify version... Bad luck 😞

Hugol0l

I wonder this too. I want to downgrade my App so I can gain this functionality once again. Which version keeps it?

Although this functionality was removed from mobile devices, I have been utilizing this function on my iPad and Kindle Fire by linking/sharing those devices with the Desktop App.

Any update on this Spotify? As a loyal Spotify user since 2008, it still pains me that I can no longer do this every time I go into my playlist folders after getting so used to the feature.

I've started creating consolidated playlists where i copy and paste all songs from playlist sub-folders into one big playlist... but that's really not a good workaround.

Don't expect Spotify to respond - they have been ignoring this thread
for over a year now.

If you look through the depths of this thread, someone has developed an
app which will consolidate your playlists and keep them updated. As you
say it's a bit of a workaround but far more than the mighty Spotify have
offered it's naively loyal customers.

I think that the problem comme from the fact that shuffle a playlist folder takes from 20% to 50% of CPU usage, on any computers I tried, Mac and PC. Even when the player is stopped, the app still take 30% of CPU usage. Amazing for a simple music player ! This does not happen with playing a single playlist, only with a folder of playlist.

I think this is the reason why Spotify removed this option of mobile, not to drain batteries ?

May be the developpers could have corrected the problemn but they prefered to remove the option.... even is 2000+ premium users are left totaly disapointed !

Can you verify on you computers if this problem occurs  for you ?

May be this thread should not be in "Home/ideas/Live ideas" but in "Home/Help/Desktop Windows"  in order that one day some intelligent person at Spotify might see this thread ?

Come on! It's stupid how you still haven't added this back in one way or the other. I have such a big collection of folders and playlist over 5 years and browsing on mobile or the web player is horrible. It is infuriating that you remove this after introducing folders, and after well over a year you don't fix or introduce any solutions.  I can't express enough how dissapointed and frustrated I am over this.

@Hugol0l @Steg - I'm using version 7-7-0-1179 on my android mobile.
