[Mobile] View & Shuffle all Tracks in Playlist Folders

The latest spotify for android update, as well as the newest iOS update, removed the "shuffle all" option for multiple playlists within a folder. I used this feature every day and it's my favorite spotify feature. Please bring it back!

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Thanks

Unbelievable that Spotify has the resources to add a garbage DJ but can't manage to shuffle a folder with playlists in it. For seven years people have been asking for this basic media player feature to be returned to the player but Spotify is too busy pushing dj or blends or whatever.

Folders are so half-baked considering how many people want a better way to organize their playlists-- how come the answer to organizing playlists still requires people to open up the desktop app anyways? Why doesn't the API support them? Why can they only be played on desktop? Why does moving a session from desktop to mobile properly function and even say "playing from playlist folder". Why can't we have a single button for a feature already supported in the app after 7 years of asking?

I wish they would tell us the reason not to do it.. There has to be a reason 🙆

it would be so cool if we could play playlist folders on the mobile app like the old days instead of having to go on my desktop to do it , and i cant even do that anymore because i dont know if its spotify or apple thats removing features because i can no longer play my playlist folder on any of my apple devices , and the mobile desktop website doesnt work on my iphone all it does is continuously reload the website when i login , but it doesnt do that on an android phone 🤔 i literally had to dig up my old laptop just to be able to play my playlist folder, i would just switch to apple music but i have way too many songs on my playlist , ive been using spotify since 2015 this is disappointing nothing seems to be changing you guys are just removing 🤦

My last comment on this thread was 7 years ago. 😑  If it's a "never" just admit to that...

How many more votes are needed to change your "We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now" since 2019 !!! common

It used to work where you could play a folder on the desktop app and then you could cast to your phone or another device and it would continue playing from the playlist folder on another device but looks like that no longer works for me either. Please put this feature back!! I have very low hopes though because Daniel Ek and his minions don't give a sh*t about what their users want, all they want is our money. I'm about to switch to youtube music, I've had enough.

It seems that every time they bring out an "update", they don't actually tell us what is in it and whether it useful or not. Pretty much every time, not. It breaks what was already working without fixing anything.

Every time it installs an update on my android device, it seems to move the storage from SD to device where I don't want it because I have 512 GB of SD storage and 128 GB of device storage and I don't want Spotify eating all of that up with downloaded files.

And then once I have again moved their location (which isn't easy), even though the files are on the SD in the location, Spotiy fails to recognise it and wants to redownload them all, except this time, it claims it is going to download them but makes no progress whatsoever.

I have written to them with a simple workaround fix and they ignore it and come back with standard responses.

+1 Please bring this to mobile.

There used to be a backdoor way on Android to do this that is no longer functional. 1) play the folder on desktop, 2) create a widget on mobile by hard pressing icon. Maybe they can at least bring back the backdoor?
