[Mobile] View & Shuffle all Tracks in Playlist Folders

The latest spotify for android update, as well as the newest iOS update, removed the "shuffle all" option for multiple playlists within a folder. I used this feature every day and it's my favorite spotify feature. Please bring it back!

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Thanks

This idea is not unique, it has over 3500 likes before Spotify shut down because Spotify has no plans to implement. Hey, your users want this and you should be making it happen not shutting this idea down.

Just implement this, once your app had this feature and you removed it without any reason**bleep** company.

You said "Not right now" in 2017.  Can you revisit the idea in 2025?

Yes, but since its a ***** company who only cares about money, they won't.

I believe that some people here are aware that the workaround found to deal with this in Android (using an old Spotify app version, from 2017) will no longer work after March

I'm so freaking sad, because folders are the only reason I use Spotify, and I've been a member of this community for more than a decade. I was hoping they would evaluate this issue again sometime, and meanwhile, despite having a lot of features that were no longer working, I was satisfied enough with the old version.

I do believe Spotify team is not dumb or mean. (I assume) this feature probably takes a toll on the server, or demands too much processing power which makes the app slow or affects the experience of users that might not be really interested in folders. I mean, they must have a reason to take the feature out of everywhere it used to work, except for the desktop app (at least for now - despite the fact that they had already taken it out some time ago), and to refuse to offer any alternative - like, just like we have Spotify Lite, we could have an alternative just for using folders or something...

Anyway, it doesn't seem like Spotify is going to change their decision, nor is going to communicate with the users about it. Clearly, this matter is not relevant at all.

I'm already looking for tools to export my playlists to YouTube Music. As I mentioned, folders are the only reason I used Spotify, without that, there's no reason for me not to move to a platform with a bigger library. That, and Youtube Music seems to have a workaround to emulate what we did with folders: you can hit play in a playlist, then queue other playlists, and then shuffle the queue... Time demanding, but I'm willing to try because I don't feel like support Spotify any longer.

Peace

I had also concluded that it is probably harder to pull off than it sounds.

May I suggest Playmixify ( https://playmixify.com/ ). It is better than what we are asking for. I finally gave up and started using it. It could disappear someday I suppose, but so could anything else.

Playmixify doesn't work for me unfortunately. Don't know why, but it just don't.

If you haven't tried it lately, like in the past few months, give it another go if you might be interested. It stopped working for me for a long time, but the developer updated it not too long ago.

I hear you though. All this is frustrating.

Best.
