Move the Library experience out of the side bar

The Idea Guidelines specify we can't request a rollback. So that's not what this is. I'd like to propose an exciting new update to the current interface: move the library out of the sidebar, and into the primary pane on the desktop application. Moving the library to the main pane will give more screen real estate to the primary function of Spotify: managing and enjoying a modern, digital music Library.

This new, exciting idea also keeps in mind the fact that laptops and desktops are not phones! This change would make good use of the extra screen size available to us while using the desktop experience, instead of repurposing a phone experience in a place it has no business being!

Lastly, this idea would also provide users the benefit of no longer screaming into the void while using Spotify in the future!

Hey! It looks like your suggestion is growing up fast and it's amazing! We are going to change its status to 'Good Suggestion' now and we hope it continues being supported by more and more users.
Thanks again for your suggestion. We really appreciate it 🙂

Great idea! The recent update to the sidebar has made the task of finding my playlists incredibly frustrating, as it really just spit in the face of my carefully arranged playlists and folders. This feels like a much better solution!

To add on, if I may, the open space in the sidebar could become a 'shortcuts' space (like quick access pins in windows explorer) that you can assign to artists, albums, or playlists.

I am at the point of giving up on Spotify. Now they moved the whole library to the sidebar. This is so counterintuitive, I cannot find anything anymore. It was straightforward and easy to work with before. After the smart shuffle and the home screen debacle I am just tired of fighting against all these bad decisions, worrying about what they will come up with next.

would love more organizational features generally, but the Library being stuck in the sidebar is my single greatest gripe.

Great idea!

This is an absolute must. Spotify, don't be stupid - listen to your userbase. None of us want the library in the sidebar.

I hate the new interface. I use spotify for business and since the new update it takes me hours!!!!

I just can not find anything anymore and I get frustated since every lost minute making a playlist costs me money!
At least there should be a way to also let users swop to the classic version. Just like in outlook. You can have the classic lint or the new one.

Yeah if we're being honest, this current UI is the worst Spotify has ever looked... who didn't get fired over this

Next to my first comment: that sidebar on the right which also keeps popping out everytime I open a new playlist.... really annoying. If i hide it, that is for a reason. So when I compose playlist and scrolling back and forth, this annoying bar keeps popping out. This interface really wants to make me irritated everytime I use spotify

It is garbage. Please remove it.

Why is this so difficult spotify? No response? No update? How is this request so difficult? Waiting over 2 months now... In the meantime you manage to let us all know how you're increasing prices for innovation but you still ignore us. Talk about taking the ... 🤦‍
