[Music] Custom Start & Ending Times for a Track

Hi.

I'm a big electronic music lover and there is only one feature i would like added to spotify. The option to choose a part of the track i would like to play and have the settings saved.

In the world of electronic music there is almost allways 2-3 minute build ups, and not many radio mixes of each track.

This can be a problem when having a party and a track lasts for 7 minutes with 3 of them is a buildup that not everyone would like to listen to.

It would be nice to have a feature like this that i can change on each track, just drag 2 buttons to a start and end point. and maybe have a 3-5 second fade on where i choose to set them.

That would be great to edit out slow parts of songs or remove Armins constant chatter in his ASOT radio.  😉

I see from the comments that iTunes (sorry for swearing) apparently has this feature so it could not be a licensing issue since Apple (sorry again) has already solved the legal parts.

Please do this!

It can't be that many hours of development - or maybe you should hire better developers.  😉

I could really use a way to specify start/stop points in songs.  One of my favoritye albums - Billy Cobham "Spectrum" has 1-3 minutes of almost nothing before almost every track.  This is the newest thread I can find, and it is 1 1/2 years ago!  You'd think it would be a feature by now.  iTunes and MP3 players I've used had this 10 years ago!  Thanks

I want to throw in my two cents in support of having the ability create to custom start and stop points in a song. In a previous unrelated post, people were asking for Spotify to create cues for C25K. That doesn't seem to be supported yet, but I personally have created my own vocal cues. Now, I just need to be able to interject these into songs. Sometimes the cue doesn't fall in between songs, so having custom start and stop points would allow me to add a song to my playlist twice, sandwiched around my voice cue, but starting on the duplicate in the same place it stopped on the first song. Come on guys, let's do this!

I enjoy listening to acoustic versions of songs, but these are often accompanied by intros before and long applauses after. I would like a way to set a custom start and stop time to songs so I can cut out this extra audio.
