[Music] Custom Start & Ending Times for a Track

Hi.

I'm a big electronic music lover and there is only one feature i would like added to spotify. The option to choose a part of the track i would like to play and have the settings saved.

In the world of electronic music there is almost allways 2-3 minute build ups, and not many radio mixes of each track.

This can be a problem when having a party and a track lasts for 7 minutes with 3 of them is a buildup that not everyone would like to listen to.

It would be nice to have a feature like this that i can change on each track, just drag 2 buttons to a start and end point. and maybe have a 3-5 second fade on where i choose to set them.

Some songs have long, non-music intros. Would be great if user would be able to mark given song as "start always at given timestamp: XYZ", so that user is not forced to scroll song each time it starta playing.

When you bookmark a song I want to be able to specify the start and and time of the song so that I can actually bookmark favorite part of a song and when I listen "liked songs" playlist to skip parts that I do not like.

Have an option to cut, copy and paste parts of a song when it’s in your playlist. This would be playlist specific so the song you chose to edit would still be the original song when played outside of your playlist, for example you could cut out a verse of a song or have it so it only plays the chorus when it’s in “playlist 1” but it plays the first verse and chorus when in “playlist 2” just add in a slider to cut out and copy parts similar to how you edit videos on an iPhone camera roll. Not only would this make playlists a lot more enjoyable it would bring more Spotify users in as it would be an exclusive feature that no other music app does.

Imagine if you could Cut out the parts of a song you don't like or the ability to create a new song from parts of other songs for a loved one. 

I Would love the ability to add and remove parts from songs. 

Don't get me wrong some songs are perfect the way they are. 

and others just have a :52 seconds intro.

2. you don't want your kids listening to "Your" music when they are near you. but you still want to listen to the songs. ( I am a father of 2 and they are both around 5 years old)

and many many more things that will be doable through the app. (maybe a sister app that keeps only track of your playlists and Edited music. 

Spotify will then be able to sell the edits people create to large industries so they can find out what parts of songs people actually like ( Mainstream music )

If done properly my Spotify stocks will be the new GME. 

(small disclaimer I know this is a grammar nightmare I just don't have much time to make it look all pretty for everyone.)

sometimes you like a certain part of a song. I would like to pin that part (Creat a loop). This way you can enjoy your favorite piece of music or melody for a little longer

I really like some songs or parts of them, but I can't add them because of another part where the featured artist completely breaks the track's vibe. I was thinking maybe add the option to trim the track in the menu? It would work like this: the track will start from a certain moment and end too. Listening will be counted + people will add tracks more often, which is good for algorithms.

Simply put: some parts of a song can make me travel to another world.  

So it is really important to me to be able to be able to repeat a specific part of a song.

In a playlist, add the option to make a specific song start at a specified time in the song. So that it skips a part of the song intro, for example; in your playlist you could configure the song "These Walls -Kendrick Lamar" to start at 0:32 when it is played automatically in this playlist. 

Too often I have to skip through a song because it has a long and annoying intro. It ruins the mood and I often don't include a good song in a playlist because I have to skip the intro if it plays

I feel like sometimes parts of a song or features just aren't that good and it makes me dislike listening to the song when the part comes up, so if a person can crop it out then they can listen to the song as much as they want without the unneeded part, but also re-add it whenever.

a great idea is to have the ability to crop or skip a song after a certain time period. there are numerous songs that are good at the beginning but then fall off later in the song. you should make the ability to crop a song or be able to auto skip at a cerian point.
