[Music] Custom Start & Ending Times for a Track

Hi.

I'm a big electronic music lover and there is only one feature i would like added to spotify. The option to choose a part of the track i would like to play and have the settings saved.

In the world of electronic music there is almost allways 2-3 minute build ups, and not many radio mixes of each track.

This can be a problem when having a party and a track lasts for 7 minutes with 3 of them is a buildup that not everyone would like to listen to.

It would be nice to have a feature like this that i can change on each track, just drag 2 buttons to a start and end point. and maybe have a 3-5 second fade on where i choose to set them.

Made a quick illustration on what i mean. Spotify proposition.jpg

Also would be great for musicians working to learn a song and practice an area.

As a listener, there are parts of a song that I would love to listen to over and over.z. What an immersive experience!  Great idea!

Start and stop points for each music.
I'd like to suggest a feature that allows the user to define a point in the time of the music starts and other point to it ends.
The feature could be started by a single checkbox in the progress screen. After the selection, the user will indicate the start point, followed by the ending point and then save them.

Hi,

I’m requesting a feature to clip songs.
We use Spotify to make a playlist of ‘walk off’ songs for softball. Each ‘clip’ is played for 30-90 seconds.
I’m limited to songs that are bangers at the start. But so many songs only get great after 60 seconds or so. It would be awesome if I could select a song, then select a 60sec clip of somewhere on the middle so we can use it. We can then ‘save’ it as a Clip, and link that.
The artist should still be compensated, but maybe it’s based on the portion of the song that’s played.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sometimes songs have intros or outros that are not appreciated. A good feature would be to allow in what second the song starts to play and in what second it ends.

Simple as that, great idea. But they are not listening us. 😞

Yeap. Maybe we should try other options.

A feature that would allow users to loop the queue. This way they don't have to create unnecessary playlist for casual/one-time song list that they want to play over and over for that moment.

For baseball walk-up songs, be able to start playing a song from a specific point in the song, not from the beginning

I was listening to this one song, and I was thinking "man if I could skip the beginning of this song by default".. because there's a conversation in the beginning that I don't want to hear a thousand times, even though I still like the song. But this also applies to songs that have nsfw parts that I don't want to put on when I'm around a bunch of people. It would be cool to be able to only add a "fragment" of the song in a playlist. And you can add multiple fragments of a single song. This would also pave the way for more creative playlists.
