[Music] Custom Start & Ending Times for a Track

Hi.

I'm a big electronic music lover and there is only one feature i would like added to spotify. The option to choose a part of the track i would like to play and have the settings saved.

In the world of electronic music there is almost allways 2-3 minute build ups, and not many radio mixes of each track.

This can be a problem when having a party and a track lasts for 7 minutes with 3 of them is a buildup that not everyone would like to listen to.

It would be nice to have a feature like this that i can change on each track, just drag 2 buttons to a start and end point. and maybe have a 3-5 second fade on where i choose to set them.

Made a quick illustration on what i mean. Spotify proposition.jpg

Have you ever wanted to start a song from a certain time stamp in the song. Let’s say you hate the beginning of a song or there’s a very slow and boring intro in the song. Using this feature, you would be able to pick a time stamp you would want the song to begin from, and every time you play the song it would start from that time. If you would like this feature added like me, please vote for it!

I have an idea for a new feature: trimming songs in playlists. Users could click a trim icon and use two sliders to select the start and end of a song or video. This would allow for more personalized and customizable playlists. This can be also used for songs with an intro or a beat switch to only have the second part in your playlist.

Example:
Travis Scott - Sicko Mode (Some people only like the second part)
Chief Keef - Love Sosa (There is an intro to the song you always have to listen to)

I miss this feature greatly!

At the moment I have to save all music from spotify with a mp3 ripper to cut and blend every song in audacity! This is enormously time consuming. Use case are, for example, partys where you don't want to babysit the music (another word for "djing"). Just prepare a playlist and let it play. And you don't want to play a song four up to ten minutes, just two to three minutes.

So a preselection where songs fade in and fade out would be great!

Dear Spotify Team,

I have been an avid user of your service for many years. Based on my positive experiences, I would like to propose one feature that could further enhance the user experience on Spotify.

Skip Option within Playlists: A feature that allows users to automatically skip specific sections of songs within their playlists would be extremely useful. For example, users could set a song to skip to the next track at the 1:10 mark. This would be particularly beneficial for skipping long intros or less appealing parts of a song, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable listening experience.

Dinleyiciler, herkese açık/kapalı çalma listelerindeki parçaların her biri için en beğendikleri kısmı kesip parçanın yanına yapıştırabilirler (maksimum: 30-15-5 saniyelik bölümler gibi).

What else does it take for spotify to implement this feature?

You know how a significant portion of songs slowly fade in and fade out, and when you have them on repeat, you can feel that repetition? For premium users, What if we add an “ai enhanced repeat” that either removes the slow fades, or somehow merged/layered the end with the start, i.e. make the song play seemlessly, and without a feeling of it constantly stopping and starting. I think this would be beneficial to ASMR songs the most, but can benefit all genres. It could be amazing. At the very least give it a try at the office.

That would be terrific!

Some songs have very interesting parts, but rather dull parts the rest of the song. I want to be able to set start and end times and spotify will immediately skip to the set start time.

If I have a workout Playlist, I only want uplifting songs and parts.  Example

Song 1 - full song plays

Song 2 - I can set start and end time. Fades in.

Song 3 - full song
