[Music] Personal Rating of Music

It would be awesome if it was possible to give a personal rating to your songs and albums (and artists), and then sort them after it in your playlists.

Hope to see it in the future, it shouldn't even be that hard.

Thank you!

"reviewed by the Spotify staff once it receives enough votes"

That's the problem with this setup. Good ideas come here to die because the vast majority of your user base has no idea this forum exists. Spotify needs personal play counts and a personal rating system so that we can create Smart Playlists. It's needed this for well over a decade. That, along with Spotify's excellent recommendation system would be so good for its users that it's a shame it hasn't been done yet.

Similar to letterboxd, after you listen to a song you rate it out of 5 stars and it’ll show up in a feed where you can see friends’ ratings of other songs

Hi Spotify,

I have suggestion to see if it is now possible to have rating system implemented, for songs, artists and albums.
With ratings, we could rate random songs all across this platform, even if we don't have them on our profiles.
What would be on our profiles is list of songs that we rated personally and we can sort them, while on Artists' page, songs would have their ratings shown with rest of the details.
Logically, most played songs would have higher ratings and vice versa.

It is a must!

Bonjour

I think it would be a great feature if users could rank songs — for example, using a 5-star system — and then have the option to shuffle only their 5-star tracks. It would add a new layer of personalization and engagement, letting users curate music beyond playlists.

Currently, Spotify lets you shuffle by genre or your entire library, but there’s no way to shuffle across multiple genres based on personal ratings. A ranking system would let users create dynamic, high-quality shuffles that reflect their taste more accurately.

Just an idea I’d personally love to see — thanks for all the work you do!

It's **bleep**ing **bleep**ed how Spotify doesn't do a single thing about all these recommendations and comments. I can't wait for another app to be designed based on all the amazing recommendations people have made.

Add a 5 star rank system for playlist makers to see on their end. This will allow for better organization and playing capabilities. This has been requested for SEVEN years! It's nuts how tone deaf this company is.
