New home screen widget design for an android app

Hi! I'm an amateur designer, and I recently reimagined the Spotify widget for Android.

My goal was to improve usability, visual balance, and consistency with Spotify’s design language while keeping the widget clean and functional.

I’d love to hear your thoughts or feedback.

I’ve just made some improvements to my Spotify home screen widget redesign for Android to make it even more user-friendly and visually consistent:

✨ What's new?

• Play/Pause button made larger for easier and more comfortable tapping;

• All control icons and the Spotify logo are now white with 70% transparency, matching the style of the artist name text — this helps the system focus only on the background color without managing icon contrast;

• The overall look is now cleaner, simpler, and better fits different wallpapers and themes.

• Improves usability and tap targets;

• Simplifies system color adaptation;

• Keeps the widget in line with modern Android design principles.
