Option to hide the podcast comments section

Please develop an option to hide the comments section for podcasts. Users should be able to choose whether or not they see this section.

Yes to this. Or delete the function entirely. Social media has been ruined by garbage people with garbage comments and I don't want to see it in Spotify. We don't need to see Joe Blow's tirades when trying to enjoy a podcast.

Some podcasts are rich stories (like Worlds Beyond Number), but the comments contain episode spoilers and are automatically visible beneath the episode description. It would be very useful for users to be able to hide comments for podcasts that they don't want spoilers for.

It's very annoying when watching the video for a podcast on my tablet, as the comment section is permanently on the bottom of the screen, cutting off a portion of the video, and giving me anxiety of burn-in on the OLED display.

Yes please give the option to hide, mute or even opt out of comments entirely. I'm on Spotify to listen to music and stories that I choose. I'm not on Spotify to see other people's unsolicited opinions.

I have looked at others comments, and I am happy to know I'm not the only one who dislikes the feature, as other have mentioned, comments often have spoilers and vulgar language which I have seen first hand. I don't want this feature at all, and it is infact deterring me from using Spotify. I don't like the fact I use Spotify as a way to escape the thousands of useless, uncreative opinions already on social media, and end up walking right back into them. It wouldn't even be as bad if there was a way to hide comments so those who do want them can still access them, while those who don't want them have the option to hide them. I don't know who decided to add this awful feature, but it's still reversible and able to improve.

def need an option to turn off comments, especially on family/child ones. want my kids to listen to podcasts without seeing random peoples comments, some of which aren’t suitable

My favorite Dungeons and Dragons podcast got spoiled by comments 😞

I understand that vibrant comment sections can help podcasts grow, but as a premium user, it would be great to have the option to turn comments off.
This isn't a moderation issue, there are free Chrome Extensions that do this for most of the internet, maybe let paying users have the same options?

While listening to a podcast comments show up and sometimes even spoil the episode. I just want to turn the comments off. (On my mobile phone)

I don't mind the section being there but I would really appreciate it if the section could be hidden by users. I think even making it so that the comment section has a link but the comments aren't visible until that's selected would be similar.

On some podcasts I listen to, I'll look at the summary of the pod and might see a comment that ruins my mood about the podcast as a whole. It's kind of distracting because it means that the people that had the most extreme reaction to the podcast become responsible for how that podcast becomes framed and then I might not feel like watching it or have something spoiled.

This is actively making me not want to use Spotify to listen to podcasts.
