[Playlists] Sort by Release Date

It would be nice to be able to sort a playlist by the release date of the songs.

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange.

We've discussed this idea and while it is interesting, we aren't able to prioritize it and don't have any immediate plans to implement this. We will let you know if this changes in the future.

Honestly - you’re kidding; per ‘High Fidelity’ if we don’t have the feature to sort our collections in any way we see fit, this isn’t a viable music collection…

It would be a great idea if we could sort songs in chronological order based on their release date

Totally paniful and cumbersome that you have to relay on third party tools to sort your liked songs and playlist by release date... This needs to be added ASAP! It should be a Standart sorting type since ages..

Hi, I have an idea for an option that could be great for Spotify: sort music by publication date, i.e. in the list from top to bottom it's music from 2010 to 2024.

The title really says it all. Only problem is the remasters of old songs.
