[Podcasts] Import for Podcasts (OPML)

I'm an avid podcast listener.
I currently use PocketCasts and would love to use Spotify for music and podcasts.
Spotify could (potentially easily) allow one to import csv opml etc, so everyone could easily transfer all their podcast subscriptions to a superior platform.

Stitcher is gone, Id rather not go to another platform, but if I do it wont be a priority to move again to Spotify.

Bleucor, I made the move to Podcast Addict and have been happy with it so far. Easy import.

  1. Google Podcast announced to shutdown it's service by the end of 2023. I won't go to YouTube Music, but they will offer OPML export. Would be a great chance to switch to Spotify if they support the import.

With google podcasts going away in April of 2024, I would rather not be forced to transition to YouTube Music. I would much rather transfer my podcast data to Spotify. But that all depends on if they can implement this OPML upload feature in time.

@samillspaugh22 and other folks coming from Google Podcasts, I made a small website that imports your podcast subscriptions from OPML files at podimporter.com, could be an option if you want to move your subs into Spotify. It was recently approved by Spotify and I tested with an OPML file from Google Podcasts, seems to be working but happy to look into any issues people run into.

Haha fair feedback 🙂 , was kind of a quick side project so not the most polished looking. It is a pretty simple tool though, basically just searches Spotify for matching podcasts and then follows them in your account when you press the button.

How is this still not a thing?  It's 2023 and Google Podcast is shutting down and we now have to manually add those 100+ subscriptions each for all 5 profiles here?  I just upgraded to the Family Plan so we can have all of our things in one place and apparently I have to cancel that and move us somewhere else.  This is an EASY fix that should have been done 3 years ago.
