Would like to see the possibility to filter podcasts on language. This makes it easier to spot (in my case) non-English podcasts.

Also search by country would be awesome.

Basically, all types of filters would be appreciated cause it makes it easier to navigate and find new stuff to listen to.

This feature is an important step towards improving accessibility on your platform. We live in a constantly changing globalised society where the vast majority of users actually speak something other than English as a first language, or live in a country different from where they were born.

Well, okay, it's set to "Not right now", then for me, "right now", the podcast section as a whole is useless 🙂

That is too bad, as the podcast suggestions are currently completely useless. And fixing it shouldn't be too complicated, since English recommendations are already being produced for listeners with a US or UK account.

Listening to more podcasts does NOT improve the recommendations AT ALL: even after listening to English podcasts exclusively for years, all my recommendations are in German.

So, I suppose we'll all just continue Googling for interesting podcasts and hope Spotify fixes this soon.

This should be on priority as for now there is no way to browse podcast for languages not supported by spotify. The only way to find a podcast in a language that doesn't have a spotify localization is by searching for the podcats directly. This make podcast in smaller languages invisible.

This is really unfortunate.

It's kind of stupid to present content based on the residence country in 2020, considering that the amount of people living abroad (and not mastering the language) is massive.

Effort to implement is minimal and would make the platform much more inclusive.

Most of the music stream platforms nowadays are extremely similar, so the advantage is define on the small things. For me, setting the feature as "not right now" is enough reason to look for more inclusive alternatives.

Based on all the recent comments, would it be possible to reconsider the status of this idea?
I truly believe this will benefit all the consumer we are, and of course to Spotify as a company.

Yes please. I live in Sweden but don't speak Swedish, all my podcast recommendations are Swedish language, not useful.

Spanish living in the USA. All the podcasts  I listen to are in Spanish from Spain. So all the suggestions are useless. Not just the podcasts, also when I am looking for Spanish music and I get Mexican suggestions. Apart from language there is Mexican, Colombian, Dominican, Argentinian, Peruvian, ............... podcasts and music. It is not acceptable if Spotify wants to have excellence standards and lead.
