[Profile] Reset Taste Profile / History

Please allow for a reset option, so you can start all over again with a clean sheet.

For now, you have to start over with an entirely new account to do just that. And for that you need to contact Customer Support. Not very convenient.

I'll toss my two cents onto the 35 page pile. It seems pretty obvious that the "commercial interests" Spotify cites as a part of their recommendations may have something to do with why we can't delete our listening history. That, or I'm a conspiracy theorist. Either way, you can delete history on pretty much any other streaming service and not on theirs so something is up. Anyone remember the days of radio? Can't imagine that record companies said "oh well, guess we can't lead the tastes of the listening populous like we have for a century."

Seems like all the great features that can make Spotify better is under Not Right Now.

Sabotaging yourselves, eh?

I want this feature because I'm starting to get bored of my curated and automated

play lists.

As everyone here, sometimes (rarely) I like to listen to some punk. My discover-weekly is now cluttered with Balkan-punk-rock (I never listened to it). It used to provide me with some bangers. Now is utterly useless.

I’ve complained a lot about this problem as you can see by my previous comments. But months after playing only music I want in my playlists my Discovery Weekly and Release Radar are pretty much back to normal. Hang in there.

I am playing lullabys to my baby at night but now I am suffering a discover weekly playlist full of child music ! This lead me to NOT TO USE SPOTIFY for entertaining my kid. I swithed to youtube. Is this the result you want to end with dear Spotify? Then, go on 🙂

**bleep** PLEASE RIGHT NOW

Discover Weekly was my FAVORITE feature of Spotify. I used to look forward to Mondays for it. But who knew having my Mom over for one week and letting her listen to sleep meditation music at night would RUIN MY DISCOVER WEEKLY FOREVER?

She listened to meditation music for 5 days. I've been on Spotify...9 years? And now, for the past 2 months, I'm only getting meditation recommendations. Even though I like my regular songs. Even though I "dislike" every single meditation song that pops up. I'm so frustrated I could scream.

I'm going to switch off Spotify after nearly a decade if this keeps going. How can it not figure it out?

Please please allow for discover weekly resets.

FYI
I created a whole new account, and God I love it! Now Spotify is back, and
I get such good recommendations!

But I miss all old playlists.. 🤦‍♂️😮💨

I want this too! Do I need to delete my spotify and then create it again ?

This is absolutely ridiculous. This is obviously something that users have been wanting for years! I have for MONTHS been trying to purge sleep sounds from my recommended playlists (which I used to use CONSTANTLY to find new music) and have had no luck whatsoever. I've even gone through the unreasonable suggestion that I 'hide' each sleep sound song as it shows up in my discover weekly or EVEN IN MY "HIP-HOP" PLAYLISTS and they still come back like ants in the winter. There are simply far too many sleep sound songs for me to individually ban them from each individual playlist.

Additionally it shouldn't be so unreasonably difficult to set a playlist as 'ignored' by the algorithms so that you CAN listen to sleep sounds or study music etc without Spotify thinking that's exactly the kind of music you're into.

I've had enough!! Please do something!
