RETURN THE LIKE BUTTON

I don't care if this has been submitted a hundred times over, you Spotify devs clearly need to hear it. You should *not* have to go through the effort of finding the "liked songs" playlist, just to add a song to Liked, when you have a ton of playlists. Playlists don't even sort like they used to, it seems almost random which playlists show first despite which ones I interacted with last - but that's not the issue here; it's just yet another downside of the problem at hand.

Please. Please. Please.

Bring back the **bleep** 'liked'/heart button on songs and albums. Having to add liked songs to my liked playlist manually just leads to me adding it to different playlists because it's so **bleep** tedious in the first place. I've been adding songs to playlists and then using the PC version to mass-add songs to Liked because you make it so inconvenient on mobile. This isn't user-friendly in the slightest.

Just, why? Why can't you just bring back the little heart? I thought the point of liked songs was to add songs then and there; not to have to stop in the street to add a song to a playlist because it now takes several seconds to do so. I've been paying for Premium since 2009, and now I'm wondering if you're worth the effort. Fire whoever told you it was a good idea to remove the Liked button, seriously. Fire yourselves for listening, too.

I recently tried to explain this to a newbie from an older gen, advocating for Spotify features. They decided that's too heavy an algorithm to remember, which is fair IMO, and continued with Apple Music.

Don´t the people at Spotify understand that seeing the hearts/you favourites is a soothing sight for someone with plenty of music in their own playlists? For example here I can directly see here that this is a good album with plenty of my favourite tracks.

Also it´s very easy to go through a playlist of thousand songs and see which albums you have already listened and which songs you have liked. There has to be some tools and ways to organize and manage your own playlists of lot of songs.

Not eveyone wants to listen only to those Spotify recommendations which are not even that good. Some want to seek their own favourites and there should be good ways to do that.

I switched to Tidal already months ago and I´ve been satisfied for many reasons (price, quality, useability). The overall playlist functionality is not as good as it was with older version of Spotify but it´s much better than in the newest Spotify versions.

If you're playing a song you haven't liked on a playlist you made, the circle will have a checkmark, which makes it difficult to know which songs are in your list, especially if it's a large playlist. The only time it doesn't is if you're playing desktop spotify on fullscreen.

Its ridiculous the amount of likes this has and they still dont care.

Once again stupid bs! why is it that I am unable to listen to all my songs?
It seems like you have a limit on your shuffle. I have over 24,000 songs
and sometimes I continue to hear the same things over and over again. I
would love to be able to max it out so that I am able to listen to all of
my 24,000 songs and choose the ones that I don't want if that is simple
enough for you.

I have been meaning to turn off email notifications from this thread for a while and finally got round to it.

As a parting message, I too have switched to TIDAL and am happy to be in a world where I can once again love my music.

Echoing the comments made already, the sound quality is noticeably better, they pay the artists a LOT more, it still works out slightly cheaper and it has hearts. It does have some cons (being unable to reorganise playlists within folders one of them) but all pale into insignificance when you have the trusty old heart to help organise your music in a logical way.

Anyway, I won't be transferring my playlists again without good reason, so that is me done with Spotify unless TIDAL are stupid enough to remove the heart feature, but surely no business could be that stupid... I strongly recommend you all look around and find a streaming service that actually cares about its customers.

i too am jumping ship, spotify has become complacent. it was always bad, but its rapidly becoming unusable.

It's been over a full year since it was accepted as a "Good Idea", I wonder if Spotify has any updates or if they should've closed it and said "nope" years ago.

I've been meaning to stop notifications on this post because the like button came back to me I think last summer.  Maybe earlier so I'm surprised that others don't have it still but I also people are posting about other things on here as well.
