RETURN THE LIKE BUTTON

I don't care if this has been submitted a hundred times over, you Spotify devs clearly need to hear it. You should *not* have to go through the effort of finding the "liked songs" playlist, just to add a song to Liked, when you have a ton of playlists. Playlists don't even sort like they used to, it seems almost random which playlists show first despite which ones I interacted with last - but that's not the issue here; it's just yet another downside of the problem at hand.

Please. Please. Please.

Bring back the **bleep** 'liked'/heart button on songs and albums. Having to add liked songs to my liked playlist manually just leads to me adding it to different playlists because it's so **bleep** tedious in the first place. I've been adding songs to playlists and then using the PC version to mass-add songs to Liked because you make it so inconvenient on mobile. This isn't user-friendly in the slightest.

Just, why? Why can't you just bring back the little heart? I thought the point of liked songs was to add songs then and there; not to have to stop in the street to add a song to a playlist because it now takes several seconds to do so. I've been paying for Premium since 2009, and now I'm wondering if you're worth the effort. Fire whoever told you it was a good idea to remove the Liked button, seriously. Fire yourselves for listening, too.

To the Spotify UX team: please stop trying to reinvent the wheel ever few weeks. Don't change stuff that is not broken and perfectly working.

You're developing a music player, the UI for that has been perfected decades ago, there's nothing new to bring other than constant frustration to your users.

please bring back an always visible "is in Liked Songs" indicator and keep the new functionality of the check-mark (quick overview and management of playlists containing the song).

Spotify app development is clearly led by incompetent people.  Every update they make seems to make objectively bad changes.

It's all been said above but I'm one of those for whom this change cripples the ability to use Spotify the way I have done for years. It's the way I organise playlists, and it needed if anything enhancing, not removing. At least give us the OPTION to bring it back, even if you're convinced that the new layout should be the default. I am completely lost without this feature.

Genuinely devastated that I can no longer see which songs in an album or playlist are my favourites.

It sucked when they removed this from iOS months ago, and it sucks even more that it's now gone from desktop.

Removing functionality is always one of the worst user experiences imaginable, I can't really comprehend why they'd do this.

Massive new problem for me - I'm using external tools to for example auto-generate playlists from weekly discover / radar playlists. So right now, when I am listening to such a playlist and catching up on new music, I can't f***ing see, if I have already liked the song or not previously, because it's already being in one of my playlists and therefore has a checkmark! Although this is not a handcrafted playlist with selected tracks I like but rather an "inbox" playlist with tracks, that I want to check. This is mental.

Plus it takes 3 clicks to like the track rater then 1.

Playlist radio a few weeks ago, and now this. Spotify keeps stripping the service of features. I actively used the favorite icon to recognize and play my favorite songs in my playlists. This change was the last straw for me — I'm now signed up to Qobuz, and I won't consider renewing my subscription to Spotify until these features are back.

This is on top of the Spotify algorithm turning into dogs**t with an update in early 2019 or 2020 (I no longer remember exactly which year it was). The algorithm used to be great for discovering new music, but for the last 3-4 years, most of the suggestions have been tracks that I've already heard and tracks that weren't similar to the song or artist the suggestion was based on. I seldom find music I like anymore, and very rarely find music that I love anymore.
