A suggestion like this has already been marked inactive, but I do believe that Spotify can be made a more complete service by incorporating AM and FM radio channel streaming. If it would be possible to add stations in to the radio feature, perhaps separating stations into two categories, live radio and Spotify radio, then Spotify would truly become the chosen one, giving users access to virtually every legal music listening service on the market. Listeners could use the feature for new popular music, news, and talk entertainment. Similar to the way the feature currently works, listeners could save their favorite stations, and browse through lists organized by genre, location, or amplitude/frequency. Feedback from people familiar with the way that radio stations would react to third-party streaming would be particularly appreciated to solve the business end of this proposal. Let's get this second attempt at implementing a good feature a shot at getting off the ground!

This option is important to make Spotify the media center. I like to listen to the radio many times and I would like to do it within Spotify, listening to my favorite radio station.

It would be great if we could listen to radio stations through Spotify.

For example, I listen to Classical KUSC in SoCal: https://www.kusc.org/#. When I am on my computer, I have to go to the browser and listen on the website. I would love to be able to listen via Spotify instead to have one centralized location to listening to radio programs.

Note, I am able to listen to these radio stations on Alexa and Google Home devices, often through integrators (e.g. TuneIn). This is a significant value-add for those devices.

I'd love you to reconsider this, as it is a comparatively straight-forward integration on most client platforms, even though tricky on some of the devices supported.

This is literally the only thing stopping me from using Spotify as my sole Audio application.

Since the arrival of Spotify, 13 years ago, I've never understood why you can't listen to live radio on Spotify. I think it should be an integral part of any audio streaming service.

Today, younger people listen to music on Spotify or Apple Music with their portable JBL speakers. Older people, like our parents, generally prefer to listen to the radio because they have always known it. But there are millions of people (including my parents) who want to be able to listen to both, without having to use two different products (radio + portable speaker).

My parents are elderly. They listen to the radio at home, but they would also like to be able to listen to their favourite music whenever they want. My mum is very happy when she sings a song she doesn't know and I know it. So she tells me to put it in her music favourites on Spotify. She often asks me why she has to use her computer or iPad to listen to her favourite music and that she has to use an old radio to listen to live radio.

Until today, I thought it was impossible. But I just tested Apple Music on my Android and they offer local radio! I was shocked! I thought it was technically impossible, but Apple Music, which came along long after Spotify, offers it! I am ready to migrate my family to Apple Music just to satisfy them. Of course I'm not going to pay for 2 music subscriptions so I'll leave Spotify too.

I would like to buy them a portable speaker so they can take it with them in the garden, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom to listen to their favourite music or local radio. But because of your choices, this is not possible. They are not going to walk around with a radio and a portable speaker!

Why not put the radio on Spotify? What's the reason? It's really the only thing missing to make your service perfect! That way, with Spotify and just one device, my parents could listen to either their favourite music or the local radio. In a modern way.

How hard is it to set this up on Spotify? We have been waiting for this for 13 years! 13 YEARS!

Why don't have radio's live in Spotify, like AM or FM... Same stations don't have apps or webs where someone can to listen. Supply the radio's stations

Even Appl Music and Deezer have the live radio stations in their application. Why can't spotify do the same?

i was hoping for this to be implemented in the future updates of Spotify, since we have Podcast, Audiobooks and Music, so why not Live Radios?
