literally the dumbest thing. Can't think of a single reason you would limit people's playlists. Its a music app after all.

Hello Spotify Support Team,

I’m writing because I recently discovered a limitation on Spotify user profiles that hides playlists once a user has created more than approximately 200. Even if the playlists are set to Public, they no longer appear on the profile once the total exceeds this limit.

As someone who creates and curates a large number of playlists, this is extremely frustrating. I currently have over 200 public playlists, and many of them are important to me — but they are completely invisible to anyone viewing my profile. This makes it difficult for friends, followers, and collaborators to access the full range of my playlists, and it limits how I can use Spotify as a creative platform.

I want to emphasize that this is not a storage or performance issue on the user side. It appears to be a UI limitation, and I believe Spotify could greatly improve the user experience by allowing:

  • Unlimited playlist visibility on profiles

  • A “Show All Playlists” button

  • Pagination or scrolling for large collections

  • Sorting options (by date created, alphabetical, etc.)

  • Public playlist folders

These changes would make Spotify far more friendly to power users, curators, and anyone who uses playlists as a creative outlet.

I hope you’ll consider addressing this limitation in a future update. Spotify is an amazing platform, and improving playlist visibility would make it even better for users like me who rely heavily on playlist creation.

Thank you for your time, and I appreciate your attention to this issue.

Best regards, Malchayen

I'd just click "remove from profile" on some not so important ones for now

I have known about this for a while, and the 200-playlist limit on profiles has consequences. Not only are people unable to actually see all your public playlists if you have more than 200, but previous tests suggest that playlists that are public but not on profile cannot be found via 'search'.

If there are approximately 265 million Premium Spotify subscribers. Say only 1% of those subscribers have over 200 public playlists and wish to display them on their profile; that's already 2,650,000 people, not a niche case. I cannot think of any technical constraint that would prevent displaying all playlists. I recently learned that there is no longer a 10,000 song limit on 'liked songs'. I see no reason for there to be a 200-playlist limit for profiles. People uninterested in viewing them do not have to click 'See all'. Yes, I have 'workarounds' like moving playlists or folders around, but this is suboptimal.

Why hasn't the operator issued a statement on this issue? What's the reason for this limit? What's the objection? It's so frustrating when you're a paying user and nobody cares about your concerns! 😞😞😞
