Removing items from Recently Played history

I would also like it if we had the option to remove our recently played history because sometimes I would listen to someone's playlist, an artist, or one of my own playlists by accident and I don't really listen to the playlist or artist anymore or I already have a song by that artist and it doesn't make sense to keep it in my library or recently played history.

What’s the status of this topic? @spotify isn’t it a AVG requirement that I can choose how I want to handle my data? 

or can we at least trigger a “show/hide” option in the UI of the main screen where I can show/hide audio I’ve listened to and don’t want showing up in my recommendations anymore?

Hi @Spotify,
By mistake (whether true or not), I listened to something that I never want to see again in my life—but now it keeps showing up at the top every time I open the app. I really don’t want to be reminded of it repeatedly.
The "Listening Again" section keeps prioritizing it, even though I only heard it once. I honestly hate this experience.
Why can’t I choose what I want to be suggested to listen to again?
I'm seriously considering canceling my subscription and switching to another service.

I think there should be an option to delete your search history and search recommendations based on your past search history

HEY SPOTIFY - WE ARE SILL WAITING...

What's the hold up with this update? It's been 4 years, and we are still waiting for a "Delete History" button. We need to be able to listen to and explore explicit content without advertising it all over my home page for the wife and kids to see. Seems like a reasonable request. GET BUSY! (... AND Yes - I found the incognito button, but that is beside the point)

Not being able to remove recently played artists discourages experimentation and listening to new artists, and causes disliked artists run across while experimenting with new artists or genres to be included in recommended playlists. It skews the preferred music algorithms, forces users to explicitly exclude these artists, and (annoyingly) takes up a slot in the recently played list until it drops off. Please allow users to remove recently played artists.

I would like that if this feature is ever implemented, that it's not just limited to recent history. I used to really like the discovery playlists and using the DJ before I had kids. They're mostly ruined now. I have accounts setup for them but that doesn't mean that there won't be an occasion where I'll be playing their music through my account/device (car, party etc) and I'd like this not to influence the music I'm suggested/played
