Removing items from Recently Played history

I would also like it if we had the option to remove our recently played history because sometimes I would listen to someone's playlist, an artist, or one of my own playlists by accident and I don't really listen to the playlist or artist anymore or I already have a song by that artist and it doesn't make sense to keep it in my library or recently played history.

Hi Spotify, would it help to speed up this feature being implemented if you were aware that without giving users the ability to fully control their personal data you are in fact in breach of European GDPR laws? 

Can we get a response from one of your staff with an update on the progress of this feature being implemented.

I was asking Google Assistant about movies. I don't remember which movie, but it ended up giving me a result for the sequel. I asked it to give me the first movie, and in its infinite wisdom it played a song called The First Movie on Spotify. Now Spotify recommends me things from the pop culture genre, inserts garbage into my country music playlists with the 'Enhance' feature, and I can't stop it. This is ridiculous. Are you kidding me? It's ruined my entire account. I'd might as well delete it and create a new one because there's no fixing this.

People can only update their recently played podcasts by listening to differnt ones every day. Some people though would like to generally delete a long-ago played podcast or song. With that being said, I think that it would be perfect if Spotify released an update soon enough, where we can choose podcasts/songs and delete them entirely from our general history!!!

Please add this function already. It's been YEARS and new situation with this problem keep on appearing. Now it's with podcasts, you've designed it to stick like permanent glue, you can't escape it if you've played an episode by accident. This could all be solved if you could modify the search history.

If the user can't do it manually then at least facilitate a form to request removal. But offer SOME option.

Get the people who break their heads thinking of new ways of making the year review, the video podcast feature, the new playlists.. to stop their work for 2 months and create a task force for this tiny but crucial feature! Once it's done feel free to horse arpund all you want.

Spotify showing its greedy teeth again by ignoring this one and similar requests with thousands up votes. They don't want us to clear the played history, as that data part of the value we as subscribers represent.
