Sections within a playlist

I love having the freedom to create my own playlists on Spotify, but I think that this feature can be improved and save a lot of confusion when separating all of your different genres and moods into different playlists. I think we should be able to create sections into our already existing playlists. For an example, you can click into your playlist called '2024 Music' and create a folder inside that playlist called 'Sad Songs' and maybe another called 'Upbeat Songs'. I think this would be easier than having tons of different playlists for each individual listening style.

That's a neat idea. You can also make a folder and put different playlists inside.

The converse to this is that since the folder feature is already implemented, it would be great to batch-play all playlists within a folder, or even just select playlists to temporarily play as one big playlist.

I super agree with this! I just independently came up with this idea and found your suggestion, so I'm commenting here instead. I thought of this because of my Halloween-themed playlist, where it has a mash (one might call it a monster mash) of different types of songs, from spooky instrumentals (e.g. The X-Files theme, American Horror Story theme) to classic popular songs (e.g. Superstition, Ghostbusters), but sometimes I'm not feeling the spooky songs and just want the upbeat songs! I don't want to have to make a new playlist for every possible permutation of song types within a playlist!
