Shuffle between two or more playlists

I think you should be able to shuffle between multiple playlists.

My playlists are usually made for specific genres of music and I think the abillity to shuffle tracks from multiple playlists would be a great feature for Spotify.

For example, I have 1 playlist for Reggae, and one for Dub and I do not want these tracks to be in the same playlist. But I want to be able to mix these playslist into a shuffle.

Yes, also true for when you are parent and your children have their own playlists and you want to listen to a balanced proportion of everyone's playlists (for instance when you are travelling by car)

When you want to listen to a new playlist, I would like to mantain the actual music alive until the track finishes, without interrupting it. Like when you add a track to the current list, spotify permits you to listen until the actual track finishes and then continue with the new track.

The idea is to add a function to keep the music alive until the new list plays, in a regular way. The function can work for one time or by default in your system preferences.

Yeah. Pandora already has it to where you can do this with their radio stations.

Right now, Spotify forces users to choose one playlist at a time. But real listening doesn’t work like that.

If I want to listen to my R&B playlist and Afrobeat playlist, the only option is to create a new playlist and manually combine everything.

And yes, you could put all your songs in one playlist, but then what if I only want to listen to just R&B? Personally, I’d much rather keep my songs organized by genre, mood, or vibe. Forcing everyone to combine everything just to shuffle multiple playlists defeats the purpose of having playlists in the first place.

A simple feature that lets users select multiple playlists and shuffle them together would:

  • Reflect real listening habits
  • Remove unnecessary steps
  • Keep playlists clean and intentional

People already mix genres and moods every day. Spotify should support that instead of forcing workarounds.

This would be a small change with a big impact on daily listening.

If you agree, like this idea so Spotify notices 👍

It seems super handy to me when you want to shuffle two playlists at the same time. So that the best of both worlds comes together. This prevents hassle with putting songs in the queue and positioning them or having to create a completely new playlist.
