[Social] Block Followers

I believe there should be a way to block people that are following you on Spotify. When blocked, the user will automatically unfollow you and will not be able to find you, or view your public playlists.

Blocking should be possible via both username and email address.

Hey folks.

We're changing this status to good idea.

We definitely think this is a strong idea, however it isn't in our current road map.
The teams behind our social features are aware that you're bringing your feedback here and we're working closely with them to bring forward all your comments and concerns.

If there are any updates on blocking Spotify followers we will let you know here first.

Thanks everyone!

Considering this is a feature in almost all services with a friend/follower system, it seems like a big oversight that, after all these years, spotify is still without it.

Years later, still a good idea. Let's prioritize and implement this feature to block followers!

It's been years, and I love your devs, but please bring this feature now. ❤️

Spotify has social characteristics and it would be cool to either have them including a block feature or no follow options at all.

Have you considered the fact that your not doing this poses a serious safety concern to a lot of your followers? You think stalkers don’t see “gym” playlists and know where people are at that exact moment. I get you’re looking to make a buck, but this seems like a really risky move and at the expense of lots of peoples safety and well-being.

7500 votes and 7 years later, this still isn't a priority?

Deezer does have that function!

It is absolutely irresponsible to not have this feature available to protect users from cyberstalking and intimidation.

Almost 7 years. Almost an entire decade that this feature has been requested to be implemented. I have someone following me that I absolutely do NOT want to see or have listening or keeping tabs on what I listen to, while I have others that I like to talk about the music we're listening to. There is nothing I can do about it - and it's to the point where I might have to make another account and lose a lot of the algorithm's interest and music collections I've curated. And if gets to that point I'd rather just switch services.

We're still waiting! It's been two years since your last update. This stuff really isn't hard, you just don't want to make PAYING customers happy.
