Songs should show the type of genre it is

Sometimes you discover a certain song that becomes your top 1 favorite and you want more of that specific style, but you don't even have any idea of what genre could it be. It happens me a lot with EDM music, and Rock music, I love so much certain songs but its hard to find a similar one when I don't know what type of genre it is. For example I found "Don't say goodbye" by Alok and the rhythm is the exact style I love to hear in Electronic music but I have not a single clue of what type o genre could it belong to.

Be able to click see as which genres Spotify classifies a song. Maybe even add the option to suggest a missing or unfitting genre

FYI TagATrack has a feature called AutoTag by Genre which allows you to set a tag on a song according to the artist's genre. Unfortunately, it tags it by the artist's genre, not the songs genre, since that's all the information that's available from the Spotify API. But, it would definitely narrow it down and then allow you to filter your songs by genre.

Also, plasticsnakes, TagATrack lets you add your own custom tags, so you can set it to be "Upbeat" or "Downtempo" or whatever you want. It doesn't have support for AutoTagging by BPM yet but that could actually be added pretty easily if there's enough demand!

henrynguyen7 : i had a closer look on tagatrack ; i see the option manuel tag and auto tag. If possible i would suggest also the option of batch tagging (if this is not already included in manuel tag) : eg : if you have an existing playlist with 'new wave'  or '80s songs' you can tag that whole playlist at once and not each individual song. The internal genre or year in spotify can differ from what you want if you use auto tag.

rikverstraete Great idea!! Actually yes, both the manual tagging and auto tagging fall under the "bulk tag tracks" option which let's you select multiple tracks for batch tagging (including all tracks from a given playlist). 

The only difference is that auto tagging picks the tags for you based on the predefined criteria (genre, release decade, popularity, and lyric explicitness) whereas manual tagging let's you pick whatever custom tags you want. I only chose to show the auto tagging option on the home page because I thought that'd be more useful for people to see, but both options are definitely available! 

Also keep in mind that with TagATrack premium, you can have an unlimited number of tags on each track, so you could add all the autotags AND then also add manual tags if you wanted.

This feature is absolute ass. Nobody wants to skim through a catalogue of previews to make a queue. Just turn it into a playable playlist!
