Send songs and playlists through Spotify app to friends and following. Spotify social media. This way it is more convenient than copying the link or sharing through other apps. There could also be a chat to text through if not just playlists and songs .

Yes!! I also had the same idea with a few friends. Texting links to songs takes way too long and oftentimes the shared media gets overlooked, as I'm working or preoccupied at the time I receive them, and then I forget to go back, scroll for the song link, and click on it to listen.

A feature like this would make it easy to interact with friends and share music easily. I believe it would also increase the amount of time users spend in the app and attract newer users who like the "social media" aspect of it, which would create space for engagement and advertisement, and could even give artists real time feedback on what people are saying/what's most actively shared. On Spotify side, this could be a huge opportunity to increase ad revenue, app traffic, and cater to a newer younger generation more interested in the social aspect/friend compatibility of music tastes. 

Acquiring AirBuds or developing a similar application feature could also help achieve some of these aspects. Ultimately it would be most similar to creating a mobile version of the old Spotify desktop side panel which showed what your friends were currently listening to. 

Please please please make this feature reality!!!
