[Subscription] Kids accounts under 13

It is a very big disappointment to have discovered that the only way to create a kid's account in Spotify is to lie on the kid's age in order to circumvent the 13-year-old age restriction.  Under a family plan, one should be able to create a kid's account utilizing their real age, with the option to filter out explicit content. This really does not seem to be that difficult a feature to implement.

Hi.

I fully agree with you! I also had to give incorrect birth dates in order to add my children (ages 6 and 8) to the Premium for Family plan. It just feels strange to have to cheat in order to use the plan and get your moneys' worth. I also urge Spotify to change this asap.

Best regards

This would be nice but first they would need to implement actual parental controls to all accounts first which still hasn't happened. When that happens this will probably workout for sure.

Whichever way they would like to implement.  I think the idea is that they legally don't really have to deal with Parental Controls for accounts by users "over 13". But all of the songs are pretty clearly labeled with the "Explicit Lyrics" label as applicable, so it should not be that difficult for the system to implement a filter.

Yeah well either way this should be really at 18+ app with the amount of pornography in this app. Paying monthly for this service sometimes feel like paying for sexual service. Kind of pathetic tbh
