There must be a way to turn off lyrics, my kids read all offensive lyrics to easily, should be easy to add an options for lyrics on/off

I mean... you cant get a shuffle function to actually work properly but add this stuff and don't allow your customers to turn it off.
How about you fix a day1 functionality that hasn't ever worked properly rather than spamming our devices.
And by fix, I mean actually shuffle a playlist rather than restart it at at the same point each time I get in my car to drive to/from work.

Always scroll in the wrong direction. I hate lyrics.

If you use the regular Spotify app and not the lite version, you can swipe left or right on the now playing screen to switch tracks and not worry about the lyrics being revealed!

Agree, would love to turn this feature off as it’s distracting and clunky.

If you're wanting the lyric function to be completely removed, prepare for a backlash similar to this one.

How about using Spotify on a computer when you're not on the move?  The website has a lyrics button (it looks like a microphone) and the concept is simple: don't click it if you don't wanna see the words to a song.

I have a full Android tablet in the dashboard of my car (NOT Android Auto), running Spotify Lite.

Every time a song changes to the next song, or is skipped, the lyrics of the next song will pop up and push the next and pause buttons off the screen.

Why do I need a forced popup of lyrics while I'm DRIVING MY CAR?

I would like a single tick box in settings to either disable the popup, or the entire lyrics panel.

A box to check to enable or disable the lyrics tab, or an on/off switch for it, would be a good idea for the mobile app. 🙂

Great suggestion. Please make lyrics optional.

They will not rebel as much if they don't have to go to YouTube to listen or watch the lyrics but hey, it's a good idea for parents who try to control what their kids see.

I personally like the lyrics to songs and being able to search for them. Every addition by Spotify should have an option for the user to use it or not.
