Turn off Lyrics

There must be a way to turn off lyrics, my kids read all offensive lyrics to easily, should be easy to add an options for lyrics on/off

I'm a bit confused reading this thread. If you don't want to read the lyrics, don't click the lyrics button. Problem solved. When Spotify finally added lyrics it closed a huge gap it had with Apple Music, which is a good thing for Spotify users even if Apple Music's version of lyrics is still better.

The person who started this thread should've tagged the idea to say it's meant for mobile devices.  And why is he even allowing his kids to listen to music with bad words?  In the first place, people wanted Spotify to show lyrics so that they won't have to view them on other sites or physical sources.  The title of the thread implies that the lyrics function will be removed again.  It'll make Musixmatch users less interested to contribute to its site, since lyrics aren't time-synced in YouTube Music.  More especially me, because Tidal isn't available in my country and I can't log in to Amazon Prime Music.

Please do it soon as possible. I swear the God I use Apple Music because of this. Also I keep Spotify aside, waiting that one day you will add that feature to Spotify. Please do it. Pleaseeeee

Dude, do you want the lyric function to be removed once again from Spotify altogether, or do you just like there to be a button on the mobile app that functions as an on/off switch for lyrics?
