WE NEED PURE SHUFFLE!

As many would have noticed, shuffle mode is not 100% random, as it depends on the popularity of the song, your last listen.

But I believe shuffle mode should be fully random, and then make a new setting called "enhanced shuffle" with those variables.

I absolutely love this app, but the one thing that's keeping it from being my favorite streaming service is this shuffle feature that only plays popular, and replayed songs. it infuriates me that the algorithm doesn't purely represent my/our music, and I desire to just turn off the app when songs constantly repeat.

I Hate that the shuffle repeats songs before the full Playlist is played. The very first ipods from 2001 were able to figure this out - it's an embarrassment to the Spotify team that they're clearly unable to fix this. People have been asking for this feature for at least half a decade. Shame on Spotify.

It looks like Spotify still decides to repeat the same 100 songs when I shuffle my playlist when I play a playlist with 300+ songs!! The shuffle used to be the best and now it sucks. I don't like that I have to manually arrange 300+ songs for it to play everything on the list, especially if I have to change the order manually every time!! That's just ridiculous! I've tried multiple times with clearing cache, turning off smart shuffle, blending between tracks, etc. Nothing changes and worse, I think Spotify only pushes for particular artists to play from my list instead of equally giving me all the songs I like!!

This is why piracy is back on the rise! I was the HUGEST supporter of Spotify for nearly 20 years now, been paying for it the whole time. But between this issue, the fact that Spotify skips on my TV every 15 min or so, and randomly just stops on my Alexa, this is a worse experience and more of a hassle than pirating, and I'm paying for this privilege.

Exactly @ChrisPine! What am I paying premium for when I'm getting subpar service. I've tried looking for solutions and I've seen quite a few other people making websites and apps that are supposed to do the shuffling for Spotify. It's absolutely ridiculous!

It’s been two years. Spotify do something about this. This is ridiculous. 

none of us want to listen to the same 40-50 songs for days, and nobody has energy to create and switch between new playlists depending on what one feels like listening to.

FYI, don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, there is a new shuffle mode under Settings > Playback > Shuffle, you can pick between Fewer Repeats or Standard. Standard is what I'm after!

Yes, I noticed about a week or two ago! Shuffle actually started shuffling
- what a brilliant idea! About time.

Please make the random shuffle actually a random shuffle, because currently it is not. It will go through the same songs in the exact same order, over and over again. I've also noticed that it tends to favor some songs, but will NEVER play other songs. There are some songs on my playlist that I cannot recall Spotify ever playing on its own without me actually searching for it and playing it manually.
