World Map as a New Way to Discover Music

Currently, Spotify search works great when I already know what I want to listen to.

However, when I want to actively discover new music, discovery relies mostly on algorithms.

A map-based search mode could work as an alternative way to explore music by country, region, and local genres.

Users could select a place on a world map and see popular styles, playlists, and artists from that location.

This would create a more conscious and cultural way to discover music, complementing existing recommendations.

I think it would be really cool to create a web map that lets users search for bands by location (regions or cities). It could be a map with points that lead to landing pages for those tagged bands. I find that when I visit new places, it's nice to find local music from the area, which helps me connect with the places I visit and find new bands. Or even bands in my hometown that I had no idea existed.
