[Your Library] Edit track metadata

Apple Music has this neat feature that allows users to edit track metadata for all tracks added to the user's library. This is most useful for putting custom artwork for albums or removing (Deluxe) or (Remastered) tags on albums, and removing parentheses in track titles. This feature is also useful for scrobbling with Last.fm, a feature that is not built into Apple Music. Custom artwork for albums is a popular feature on Apple as fans can use their fan-made artwork in screenshots.

Being able to edit track and album metadata on Spotify would be great for people like me who love to micro-manage their music library.

There needs to be an option to turn off cover art work. So much of the cover work is pornographic and explicit. It’s offensive and disrespectful to those that have children, hold Christian or traditional values and is not family friendly.

Still waiting on an update, why are Spotify so bad at actually taking on board ideas and implanting them??

because they just don't give a F. they would rather add more stupid podcasts and keep on showing them to people than implementing ideas like this

Any update on this feature? Going to move to Apple Music purely for this.

i tried apple music and i found out it was not wat i was looking for. as a longterm user of itunes, which i found was the best offline music library , i thought also the apple music would be itunes online, but the overall integration is worse then spotify. And yes you can edit meta data of songs but only if you made a local copy of an album or playlist, so it's in your itunes library. But then it was not available in my phone (not an iphone user, android and perhaps that is the problem for the integration, but then apple music is limited to iphone users). That was my limited experience of apple music, i tried it out with a 3 months free membership. So back here trying to force spotify to broaden there functions !!! 🙂

As I drive my kids to and from school, I use Spotify as my go-to music app.

Whenever a song comes up with a song cover of something inappropriate, it displays on my car's dashboard screen which can be a bit awkward when having kids in the car. It would be amazing if you guys could implement a local cover-hider so I can keep jamming without having to worry about my kids seeing inappropriate things. Thanks!

I would kill for this

I’m guessing there’s still no update on this? Spotify refuses to sync artwork to mobile when added on third party apps, and the solutions offered by Spotify’s team don’t work either.
